    Translation: Shaoshi Mountain, where the Xiushui River originates, and then flows northward into the Luoshui River. There are many fishes in the water, which are shaped like macaques but have long claws like roosters, and their white toes are facing each other. People eat it.  With meat, there will be no suspicion, and weapons can be provided

    ¡¾House of Birds¡¿¡¶Shan Hai Jing Bei Shan Jing¡·

    Guoshan has many birds, its shape is like a mouse with bird wings, and its sound is like a sheep, which can be used to defend soldiers.

    Translation: In Guoshan, most of the birds are house birds, which are similar in shape to ordinary mice but have bird-like wings and make a sound like sheep. Keeping them around can avoid the disaster of swords and soldiers

    ¡¾Refuting Beasts¡¿"Shan Hai Jing¡¤Xishan Jing"

    On the mountain of Zhongqu, there is a beast. Its shape is like a horse with a white body and black tail. It has one horn, tiger teeth and claws, and its sound is like a drum.

    Translation: Zhongqu Mountain, there is a beast in the mountain, its shape is like an ordinary horse, but it has a white body and a black tail, a horn, tiger teeth and claws, and the sound it makes is like the sound of a drum.  For tigers and leopards, raising them can provide weapons

    ¡¾Porpoise Flying Fish¡¿"Shan Hai Jing ¡¤ Zhong Shan Jing"

    On Mount Lu, there are jujubes on it, and jade in the shade.  The water of Zhenghui flows out, while Beiliu flows into the river.  Among them are many flying fish, whose shape is like a dolphin and red, and they are not afraid of thunder, and can defend soldiers.

    Translation: Lushan, the mountain is rich in sweet jujubes, and the shady side is rich in jade.  Zhenghuishui originates from here, and then flows northward into the Yellow River.  There are many flying fish in the water, like piglets but with red markings all over their bodies. Eating them can make people not afraid of thunder and can also be used as weapons
