    Yushan is the residence of the Queen Mother of the West.  The Queen Mother of the West looks like a human being, with leopard tail and tiger teeth whistling, fluffy hair and wearing a hoop.

    Translation: Yushan, this is the place where the Queen Mother of the West lived.  The Queen Mother of the West has the same appearance as a human, but she has a leopard-like tail and tiger-like teeth and likes to howl. She wears a jade ring on her fluffy hair

    [Jingwei bird (like a crow, head, white beak, bare feet)] "Shan Hai Jing Bei Shan Jing"

    The mountain of Fajiu has many Zhe trees on it.  There is Niaoyan, whose shape is like a crow, with a literary head, a white beak, and bare feet, and its name is the Jingwei, and its song is from its cry.  The daughter of Emperor Yan was named Nvwa. Nvwa swam in the Eastern Sea, drowned and never returned, so she became the Jingwei.  He often holds wood and stones from the western mountains in his mouth, and uses them to fill the eastern sea.  Zhangshui flows out of Yan, and flows eastward into the river.

    Translation: Fajiu Mountain, on which grows dense Zhe trees.  There is a kind of bird there, whose shape is like a crow, but with a patterned head, a white beak, and red feet. It is called the Jingwei, and its name sounds like the sound it makes.  The Jingwei bird was originally the youngest daughter of Emperor Yan, her name was Nvwa.  Nvwa went to the East China Sea to play.  When it drowned in the Eastern Sea and did not return, it became the Jingwei bird. It often carries sticks and stones from the Western Mountains in its mouth, and uses it to fill up the Eastern Sea.  Zhangshui originates from this mountain and flows eastward into the Yellow River

    [Bi Fang (shaped like a crane, with one foot)] "Shan Hai Jing Xi Shan Jing"

    On the mountain of Zhang'e, there is a bird Yan, which is shaped like a crane, with one leg, red and blue, and white beak. It is called Bi Wen, and it sings by itself.

    Translation: There is also a bird in Zhang'e Mountain, which is shaped like a common crane, but has only one leg, red stripes, a blue body and a white beak. Its name is Bi Fang, and the sound it sings is the pronunciation of its name.  Wherever it appears, there will be a strange fire
