Volume 1 The Beast Whisperer Chapter 64 The Lava Iguana in Burning Wood Valley

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

Burning Wood Valley is a small valley. The trees in this valley are always burning for unknown reasons. Many players suspect that there is a hidden mission here, but none of them can receive this mission.

Su Hao appeared in front of the teleportation array in Burning Wood Valley. This array was built in a stronghold called Tasren. Su Hao took a look and found that this stronghold was a stronghold under the influence of Storm.

In other words, Su Hao can enjoy the same prestige and treatment here as in Storm City.

"Hey, many people are unable to receive missions here. Is it because of their reputation? Do I want to try my luck and see if I can receive missions here?"

Su Hao thought about it and decided to go and have a look. His reputation in Storm is still about 1500 points short of reaching respect. If he can receive some tasks that reward reputation, he can reach respect faster.  .

Walking slowly along the Tasreen stronghold, the NPCs in the stronghold greeted Su Hao in a friendly manner after seeing him. Su Hao greeted them with a smile, which made some other players puzzled.

    These NPCs just ignore them!

Su Hao ignored them and walked around aimlessly in the stronghold, hoping to trigger the mission of why Burning Wood Valley keeps on fire.

    ¡°Ding ding ding¡ª¡ª¡±

When passing by a blacksmith shop, Su Hao glanced inside. There was a tall blacksmith inside the blacksmith shop. The blacksmith had a scary scar on his face.

"It's time to replenish some arrows. It's too expensive to download the dungeon."

Su Hao looked at his backpack and found that the arrows in it were almost used. After completing a copy, Su Hao consumed as much as 6 silver coins just for the arrows.

But this is also one of the reasons why Su Hao's damage has always been high. If you don't spend money, you can't get high damage.

Walking into the blacksmith shop, Su Hao looked at the list of items the blacksmith had sold, and couldn't help but notice a strange arrow.

Corrosive Arrows (requires level 5, a set of 16 silver coins): The arrows of this arrow are fused with strong corrosive elements. The armor of the enemy hit is reduced by 3%, lasting for 30 seconds, and can be stacked 5 times.

    ¡°So expensive!¡±

Su Hao couldn't help but click his tongue. The effect of this kind of arrow looks good. It can produce good results when facing high-armor professions. The only drawback is that it is too expensive.

"Do you want that? If you can't afford it, you can do something for me." The blacksmith NPC saw Su Hao's expression. He snorted and looked at Su Hao with contempt.

"It's actually this kind of look?"

Su Hao couldn't help but was stunned. His reputation in the city was quite friendly. He didn't offend this guy. Ordinarily, this guy shouldn't look at him like this.

It was probably a task. Su Hao nodded and said to the blacksmith: "I am willing to help you. Please tell me your request."

The blacksmith let out a hearty laugh: "Have you seen my face? This is all caused by those damn lava iguanas in Burning Wood Valley. If you can help me kill some lava iguanas and give me their horns  Turn around and I'll give you 10 sets of corrosive arrows, and at the same time, I'll also give you the blueprints for making these arrows, how about it?"

System: Do you accept the task "Blacksmith Morkan's Request"?

Su Hao chose because 10 sets of corrosive arrows were equivalent to 1.6 gold coins. If nothing else, the reward alone was tempting enough.

After looking at the task list, Su Hao discovered that this task was an elite level task.

"Oh my god, what are these lava iguanas? They are actually an elite mission." Su Hao couldn't help but be dumbfounded. This humble blacksmith actually issued an elite mission to him.

Su Hao didn't dare to neglect. He originally wanted to save some money and buy some ordinary arrows, but now he stocked up on sharp arrows and set off in the direction of Burning Wood Valley.

After entering the Burning Wood Valley, Su Hao discovered that the main thing that spawned in the Burning Wood Valley was the lava iguana. This beast was covered in red, level 7, and had only one lava spitting skill, which could cause 59 points of fire damage to the enemy.

"Such a simple monster is actually at the elite level. This must be a series of tasks. However, if it is an ordinary task, the rewards will be too generous."

Su Hao summoned Godzilla, turned on the equal distribution of experience, and then commanded Godzilla to destroy the dead and quickly complete the first step of the mission.

After looking at the map, the Black Iron Cave is a bit far from the stronghold, that¡¯s why.  It¡¯s better to take on the blacksmith¡¯s task nowLet¡¯s talk after it¡¯s done.

Su Hao returned to the stronghold and handed the lava iguana's horn to the blacksmith.

"These are the things, I really want to cut them into pieces!" The blacksmith threw the iguana horns into the furnace and spat: "But, do you really think I will do it so easily?"  Let them go?"

"Kill their leader. He is in the lair east of Burning Wood Valley. Bring his head back to me."

Sure enough, as Su Hao expected, the blacksmith announced the next task.

Su Hao went deep into the Burning Wood Valley again and found the lava iguana leader's lair in the east that the blacksmith mentioned.

It was said to be a lair, but in fact it was just a cave. Su Hao didn't know how deep the cave was. He only saw a huge lava iguana sleeping at the door of the cave. This was a level 8 elite monster. For  Ordinary players might have to form a team to kill him, but in front of Su Hao, this guy was simply a scumbag.

Godzilla doesn¡¯t even give this guy a look.

With the command, Godzilla charged forward and trampled the leader of the lava iguana under his feet. Su Hao fired a burst of cold arrows from behind and eliminated the so-called leader in less than a minute.

    "Really boring!"

Godzilla is not in high spirits and needs a stronger opponent.

Su Hao was speechless for a while. He didn't want to kill these low-level monsters, but this was a mission requirement and there was nothing he could do.

After cutting off the head of the lava iguana leader, Su Hao glanced into the cave behind the lava iguana.

This is a deep cave, at least Su Hao can't see the end at a glance.

Traces of black smoke emerged from the cave, and Su Hao couldn't help but use his telescope skill on the cave.

"Hey, there is a treasure chest in this cave."

Su Hao couldn't see the end of the cave even with a telescope, but he saw a gold-level treasure chest inside, which made him excited.

Su Hao quickly ran into the cave, which was filled with the stench of sulfur. Su Hao couldn't help but pinch his nose.

Moving forward step by step, Su Hao walked to the front of the golden treasure box. The level 9 gold treasure box was almost the highest level treasure box that could be opened with a bronze key.

    "Crack¡ª¡ª"

After Su Hao turned the key, the treasure chest was opened. Inside was a gold-level dagger. After looking at it, he found that it belonged to the master.

Dagger: Iguana's Fang (gold level, available at level 5, main hand)

    Damage: 35-47

    +10 Agility

    +9 Stamina

    +17 crit

Equipment: Each attack carries 6-8 points of poison damage.

Su Hao quickly replaced the dagger in his main hand with this dagger. After taking a look, his melee damage increased to 49-63. If the additional poison damage is included, the normal attack should be above 70.

"It's time to find another opportunity to create some free melee skills." Su Hao was very satisfied with his current melee damage, but the stench of sulfur next to his nose made him want to vomit.

"Where does this stink come from?"

Su Hao wanted to investigate this matter clearly. He continued to move forward and soon reached the end of the cave.

    "This is¡¡"

At the end of the cave is a small lava lake, which looks like it is about 30 yards across.

There are many lava iguanas eggs submerged around the lava lake. Some eggs have just broken out of their shells, and the small lava iguanas are struggling to crawl out.

Su Hao finally knew why these lava iguanas had the skill of fire damage. They absorbed the energy from the lava, so they had the ability of fire damage.

"Could it be said that the reason why the trees here are on fire is related to the lava in the ground?"

Su Hao just had a fleeting thought, and a prompt popped up on his taskbar.

System: Talk to blacksmith Morkan about what you saw. He doesn¡¯t seem to just care about the head of the lava iguana leader.
