    Chapter 093 Hunter Island (9)

Feng Bujue used his flashlight to look at the surroundings first, and after confirming that there were no traps or anything nearby, he moved closer.

The body has become a skeleton. Judging from the skeleton, it should be that of a man. He was obviously turned over by wild animals after his death. He may have been dragged here from elsewhere. It is difficult to say where he died.

The clothes on this skeleton must have been torn when wild beasts ate the corpse. Feng Bujue squatted down and inspected it closely, and soon found a small iron box among the fragments in the pocket of his clothes.

This iron box is about the thickness of a finger and the size is equivalent to the size of a photo. It may be used to hold photos.  The iron box is somewhat rusty, which is normal in this humid environment.  Feng Bujue took out a knife and pried open the iron box along the edge.

There were no photos in the box, but there was a pencil and a folded piece of paper filled with text.

¡¾Name: Message from the Unknown Deceased¡¿

    ¡¾Type: plot related¡¿

    ¡¾Quality: worn¡¿

    ¡¾Function: Unknown¡¿

¡¾Can the script be brought out: No¡¿

¡¾Note: Although you have found this, it is not necessary to read it, because once you read the content, everything will become different.  ¡¿

The first thing that came into view was the description of the item. After seeing the note, Feng Bujue felt that the situation was a little strange. It seemed that the information left by the deceased was of considerable significance.  But it is ¡°not necessarily necessary¡± to read it. What does this mean?

"Could it be that reading this piece of paper will change the plot?" Feng Bujue muttered, "Do you want to read it I am the only player in the script now. As long as I am careful in the next two hours, I will successfully pass the level.  Probably more than 90%. But what if reading this causes any bad changes"

If it were anyone else, he might have given up, but this situation happened to be Feng Bujue's Achilles' heel.  If you find a beautiful woman to seduce him, he may be able to stay calm; but if you place a stack of paper in front of him and declare that it is a mystery that no one can solve, he will definitely pounce on it.

At this moment, Feng Bujue was suffering from a reading addiction, and his heart was itching unbearably.  Unless a teammate like Shi Yu takes the thing away and prevents him from touching it again, he must read it.

Unfolding the paper, holding it in front of your eyes and shining it with a flashlight, the writing on it turned out to be in Russian.

Feng Bujue's heart skipped a beat at that moment. A very scary thought appeared in his mind and became a reality within the next few minutes.

Although this mystery novelist is quite knowledgeable, he does not know Russian. Fortunately, the system has a built-in translation function, and the Chinese version will appear in the menu.

¡¾If anyone reads this text, it means I am dead.  That was nice, for me it was a relief and I deserved it.

My name is Zaroff, and I am the owner of this island.  Maybe you have seen another man claiming to be General Zaroff in the castle before, maybe not yet.  Anyway, you should know by now that he is fake and his name is Rainsford.

I invented a hunting game to hunt humans on the island, and Ford was once my prey and the only person to survive my hunting game.  I still remember every detail of that contest. He was so good at making Malay traps and Burmese tiger traps with just a knife.  I wasn't bad either. I always took the initiative and consciously let him go a few times.

As a result, he successfully survived the third day and won the battle.  Although I lost, I was in a good mood. It was a pleasant hunt.  According to the agreement, he was given a good rest, and given enough food and water, he was sent on a monorail sailboat and allowed to leave the island.

I thought Mr. Ford and I would never see each other again in this life, but unexpectedly, about six months later, he came to the island again.

He actually told me that after leaving the island, he began to miss this kind of game. Other entertainment and sports could no longer bring him any excitement. He wanted to join me.

I didn¡¯t agree to him at first and asked him to leave, but he did not hesitate to plead with me as a bargaining chip to become his prey again.

¡°I thought I was crazy, but at that moment, I thought he was really crazy.

So I had a second contest with Ford, and I declared in advance that I would not be merciful this time. If he could still survive for three days under my hunting, I would let him become a hunter.  partner.

I never expected that he would succeed again, even more easily than the first time. I didn¡¯t even understand how he did it.  In those three days, Ford never appeared in my shooting range. It seemed like I could hear the sound from far away. Every time I didn't get close, he would move away faster than me.  The traces he left behind showed that he was as agile as an ape, and most puzzlingly, he seemed not to even need to eat, excrete, sleep, or even rest.

On the third day, I released the three hounds and let them hunt Ford freely, but later, I only found three dead dogs. None of them died from traps or knives. They were killed with bare hands.

Later, Ford started hunting with me.  After a while, his behavior became more and more abnormal, and he kept asking me to catch as many people as possible. I told him that too frequent maritime accidents would attract official attention, but he was like a greedy drug addict who was never satisfied.  .

He modified the ship trap and bought many beasts to the island through various channels. I told him that those animals would also bring danger to us, but he didn't care. Ford was completely crazy. He was better than me.  Ten times crazy and ten times evil.

Nine days ago at night, I wanted to kill him while he was sleeping.  This is not the behavior of a gentleman, but I have no choice. I may have created this demon, so it is up to me to deal with it myself.

When I opened his door quietly, he was standing behind the door with a sinister smile on his face, waiting for my arrival.

Ivan knocked me down from behind, subdued me, and threw me into the cell.  He is my most loyal subordinate and will never betray me.  I'm not a superstitious person, but I can only think that Ivan was controlled by Ford with some kind of evil spell, because that would explain a lot of things.

Now, I am the prey myself.  For nine days, Ford has always known where I am, I know this very well, but he will not come to kill me, nor will he come to me, let alone let me approach the castle or escape the island.  He wanted me to be killed by those animals in despair and torn into pieces by those "prey". For a proud hunter like me, this is a huge irony.

On the fourth day, I met a sailor who was dying after being attacked by a tiger. They told me that a man who called himself General Zaroff forced him to participate in a game.  I knew then that I had been replaced.

Now, everything should be over. I am already scarred, suffering from fever, and I don¡¯t know how long I haven¡¯t closed my eyes. If death is coming sooner or later, at this moment I just hope that it will come peacefully and quickly.

I write this not as a confession, nor do I want to atone for my sins.  I just want to warn anyone who sees this message Ford is not a human being at all, but some unknown evil incarnation.

Run away quickly!  The further away the better!  Even if you jump into the sea and drown, don't stay on the island!  ¡¿(To be continued.
