Chapter 138 The Wasteland of the Earth (11)

The shark cabin slowly drove into a canyon. The terrain in front of it sloped all the way to the south. There were some unknown plants growing on both sides. The plants were sparse, sickly, and gray. It was obvious at a glance that no one was taking care of them.  It's some kind of weed.

Down the slope is the entrance to a huge cave. The hole in the middle of the rock wall is big enough for the entire Titanic to drive in.

This place has obviously been expanded and reinforced by humans, and is no longer a purely natural landscape.  Thousands of metal supports like railroad tracks are covered on the mountain rocks, some are embedded in them, and some are connected to each other in mid-air, like a complex steel spider web.  Some small shack-like buildings are dotted on the ledges, and many workers in protective clothing are walking around on the metal frames.  If Feng Bujue and the others could see this scene from a distance, they would surely marvel at this magnificent spectacle.

When the shark cabin arrived near the entrance, it received an external communication, and an unfamiliar voice sounded: "This is the observation deck, please identify yourself."

Hank, who was sitting in the driver's seat, cast a questioning look at Feng Bujue, who just spread his hands and made a "please" gesture.

"Scavenger team, number 24, I am the driver Hank." Hank tried his best to stay calm and said, "Leave the village this morning, the password is 'bow and arrow'."

In Shenyou Village, the team will leave a record when they go out, and they will also receive an instantly updated password when they leave. When they return, they must report the password at that time before entering the village.  If there is no password and no record, it means that these people escaped secretly, or they may even be impersonated by outsiders.

The person communicating with them was silent for a while, probably checking the number and password. Not long after, he replied: "The password is correct. Welcome back. Team 24, please enter the berth corresponding to your number. The supply personnel have already  On the way."

The shark cabin successfully entered the cave entrance, passed through a winding passage, and came to a very large space.  It was like a three-dimensional parking lot. The wall on one side was like a honeycomb, densely covered with hexagonal compartments. With the help of the navigation system, Hank drove the cabin into one of the compartments.

When the two players officially passed through the "gate" of Shenyou Village, the system prompt rang in their ears:

    ¡¾Hidden task has been triggered¡¿

¡¾Find "Son of God" York Coburn in Divine Blessing Village¡¿

¡°Brother Crazy, do you still insist that this script belongs to a science fiction setting?¡± Kuang Zong Jianying asked after reading the mission.

"Yes, very sure." Feng Bujue replied.

At this time, they had each put on a set of protective suits and walked out of the shark cabin with Hank.

The scientific system of Shenyou Village is very strange. In many aspects, their level is incredibly low. They don¡¯t even have basic common sense, such as biology, medicine, and astronomy. They are simply the cognitive level of primitive tribes.  However, they are very developed in energy, construction and agriculture, and have the technology to manufacture anti-gravity devices and smelt metal.

Why these guys have moved their technology tree points astray will be explained later. For now, let¡¯s talk about Feng Bujue¡¯s situation.

The plan is simple, put on protective clothing, pretend to be a scavenger, and sneak into the residential area of ??the village.

? And it¡¯s actually not that difficult to implement.  Because there are no such things as photos in this village.

Someone may ask, what about electronic devices that can transmit or record images?  Like a smartphone or something.  Unfortunately, there is no such thing. The technology tree of Shenyou Village is similar to the German guys in "Steel Sky". It is difficult to tell whether they are advanced or backward. It can only be said that they are a special civilization produced under special circumstances.

Someone may ask again, wouldn¡¯t it be very difficult for people in this village to identify themselves?  This is indeed true, but this is not a problem. Human civilization had already begun before the invention of cameras and ID cards, and people have come here over the years.

Of course, there are obviously many problems with Feng Bujue and Kuangzong Jianying's disguise. First of all, although there are people of all kinds in this village, white people still account for the majority. It is easier for them two yellow people to  Attracting others' attention; the second is height. Men in Shenyou Village are generally no more than 1.7 meters tall, and both players are about 1.8 meters tall. Even if they consciously hunch their backs and shrink their necks, they will still look very tall;  Thirdly, according to Hank, there is no need to wear protective clothing in the residential area, but if the two of them take off their protective clothing, a weirdo in a suit and a swordsman in civilian clothes will definitely cause a commotion if they are seen by others.

But Feng Bujue¡¯s idea is: as long as he is not exposed in a short period of time, it will be enough to leave him time to explore.??It's inherently limited. The guy called Doomsday Strike will give up after searching for the exit of the laboratory for about two hours at most.  By theneven if he can still hold on in terms of survival value, he will no longer be able to hold on mentally.  So the top priority is to sneak into the residential area first.

    ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

The sound of mechanical movement came from far to near. A lift carried a wheeled disc device and five people wearing protective clothing to the cubicle platform where Feng Bujue and the others were.

"The scavenger teamis the number twenty-four correct?" the leader asked. He was holding a metal plate with a stack of papers nailed to it. He was looking at one of them.  Naturally, there can be no portraits on the paper, but some basic information is recorded, namely the time and password for the team to leave the village; the reason for departure, destination coordinates; the number of people riding in the shark cabin, and their names.

"Yes." Hank replied. Because he was wearing protective clothing and was at a distance, it was difficult for the other party to see his expression clearly. In fact, this guy was very nervous at the moment and his face was covered with sweat.

"Why are there two people missing?" the questioner said, having already shifted his gaze to Feng Bujue and Kuang Zong Jianying.

"Dead killed by a monster while exploring the ruins of the 'outsider'." Feng Bujue took the initiative to answer the other party's question, and he deliberately pretended to have a rather sad tone.

The questioner asked again: "Did you bring the body back?"

Feng Bujue shook his head: "No, the three of us managed to escape with great difficulty. Those monsters were very ferocious and there was no way we could bring anything out."

The other party was silent for a few seconds, "What's your name?"

"Jia Wei." Feng Bujue replied, "This is Hank." He pointed out, "That's Joey."

Feng Bujue had already asked Hank about the names of the five scavenger team members in advance, and he also made it clear that the people in Shenyou Village, regardless of their skin color, all use English names. Also, in front of him,  The documents in the hands of these "supply personnel" only record their names.  As for too detailed information such as skin color and appearance features, there is no such information.

"Okay, I understand." The man also sighed and made a few notes on the paper: "Huh another two deaths a bad day."

"Hmm" Feng Bujue responded. He could also see that for these people, it seemed that it was commonplace for one or two people who came back from outside the village to die.

The man paused for a few seconds and then said: "So in terms of recycling items, it is zero, right?" (To be continued.
