The framed part in this chapter is Feng Bujue¡¯s complaints.

    ¡¡¡¡

The night is like a giant beast, swallowing up this city full of Gothic atmosphere.

The cold raindrops hit the puddles on the ground like sharp arrows, and the air is filled with a unique atmosphere of the metropolis - **.

¡¾Hey, heywhat happened? Did you send the wrong manuscript?  What's going on with this beginning?  ¡¿

My name is Scofield, Greg Scofield, an elite member of the Lane City Major Crime Squad.

¡¾I saidare you planning to re-write a book with Detective Scofield as the protagonist?  Is it still unfolding from the first-person perspective]

Driving through this night city is like boating on a sinful river.  This is a depraved place where every brick on the wall and every inch of soil on the ground is stained with the blood of innocents.

Robbery, fighting, killingthe beasts and devils in human skin are running rampant, leaving kind and decent people immersed in an eternal night of sadness and pain.

This is a never-ending war, and I am a soldier on the front line.  My duty is to defend the boundaries of the law and wait for the arrival of every dawn.

¡¾Does this have anything to do with this case I guess the author has given up on life So I say that people who write whatever they want should not set thirty-three chapters in advance, which is neither long nor short!  Make it difficult for yourself!  ¡¿

I can¡¯t remember how many times this was the first time I drove alone on patrol.

Since the death of my partner, I have been able to see, hear, and feelthose dangerous existences. An intuition of predicting danger flows in my blood and is attached to my back.

So, when I drove down Seventh Street and saw that teenage kid standing in the middle of the street, staring blankly into my headlights, I knew it was a trap.

I broke a deal with a certain gang not long ago, and their revenge has begun

¡¾Ahat this pace, this old-school gangster movie monologue-style content must last a whole chapter¡¿

The gang leader in this neighborhood is a complete villain. He is only twenty-six years old, but he has been in the gang for seventeen years.  While his peers were finger-painting in elementary school, he was killing people in alleys with an Uzi.

Of course, this cannot be completely blamed on him. It was society that created monsters like him, and he created one monster after another just like him.

There is no need for test tubes, nutrients, or formulas. This sinful city itself is a melting pot.

Those kids in gangs are already charged with murder, drug trafficking, robbery, etc. before they turn sixteen.  I can arrest them they will be sent to the station, and someone from the Juvenile Delinquency Unit will pick them up.  But the result at some point next year, they will appear on the streets again, doing the same thing.

¡¾Then what do you wantstep on the accelerator and push over, and then claim to be self-defense¡¿

I didn¡¯t hesitate and stepped on the accelerator.

¡¾Hello!  What if you make a mistake!  ¡¿

The kid quickly dodged, rolled to the side of the road, took out the pistol hidden in his pocket and started shooting at me.

His accomplices also poured out from the alleys on both sides, and the interweaving firepower poured into the surroundings of Jingche.

¡¾What kind of city did you work as a police officer before?  Gotham Crime Squad is nothing more than that!  ¡¿

I lowered my head, stepped on the accelerator, and tried to keep the car in the middle of the road to prevent it from hitting something.  I also quickly turned on the fine flute on the fine car, but this was of little significance the dense gunfire around me was enough to attract other nearby patrol cars.

The glass of the fine car was soon shattered, and at least a dozen bullets entered the car.  In those few seconds, I felt like I had jumped into a fish tank full of piranhas. Even I couldn¡¯t tell how many times I had been shot.

The last thing I remember before losing consciousness isCaptain Charlie dragging me out of the car.  At that moment, I will never forget the look on his face. I understood that he was indeed gay as rumored, and that he had a crush on me.

¡¾Hello!  What a huge amount of information!  ¡¿

After half a month of recuperation in the hospital, the doctor told me that I might never be able to return to my original position.

¡¾So you moved to a remote country town to become a detective?  ¡¿

When I first heard the news, I was deeply shocked.

But later, I gradually realizedthis? The revelation God gave me is that it is time to step back from the front line between good and evil.

I should have died on that street, but I didn't.  Very few people get a second chance, and I got one, so I have to cherish it.

So, I applied to my superiors and was transferred out of the big city. I took my wife and daughter to a peaceful rural town and became a detective here.

Before leaving, I left a letter to Captain Charlie, the content of which I still remember - many things only become clear later, but I can no longer find the way back.  Many things didn't feel painful at all at the time, and even if they were painful, I don't think I would care.

¡¾This is basically the lyricsand are you expressing your wish to meet each other before you get married?  ¡¿

In this small town, I lived a happy and peaceful life.  I can get home from get off work on time every day and have more time to spend with my family.

There are no major cases to be handled in the fine bureau here. Most of them are disputes between parents. Compared with the city, this place is simply a paradise.

I often say to the rookie agents here, "Back in the day, I was better than the tough guy agents in the movies, until I got shot in the knee."

¡¾YesAfter all, that is the biggest weakness of the people on earth¡¿

Over the years, I often think of Captain Charlie, but I have never contacted him, nor did he reply to my letter.

¡¾Heywait a minutecould he be using the excuse of investigating the case to call this Charlie¡¿

Today, I finally have a chance.  In the process of investigating the Lovecraft family murders, I met a well-known detective who needed me to contact my past colleagues and go through an illegal process to check the file of a suspect.

¡¾BrotherI was wrongyou better not make this call.  ¡¿

??????????????????????????? I am full of anxiety, but also somewhat hopeful.

"¡¾Most people feel like this before they embark on a forbidden path"

    ¡¡¡¡

¡¾Hello!  What does this ellipsis mean?  Is the content of the call prohibited for all ages?  By the way, this author has gone crazy This is far beyond the level of being rejected Are you preparing to create a new style of writing?  Can¡¯t you humbly learn from your colleagues¡¯ watering techniques?  Don't mess around on your own!  ¡¿(To be continued.)
