Bei'an No. 7 Middle School, Gao Jue's alma mater, the teaching building has changed its appearance compared to back then. The newly built six-story building is even inlaid with ceramic tiles on the outside.  Gao Jue walked into the campus. Zhang Xiaohu was in Class 3, Grade 1. I had asked yesterday that he was on the second floor.

This class is a math class. Zhang Xiaohu¡¯s homeroom teacher, Ban Ying, is a Chinese teacher and is not here. After a brief inquiry, I found out that there is no class at this time and she should be in the office on the third floor.  When I found the office, the door was open. There were only three people in the huge office, chatting.

Gao Jue knocked on the door gently, and a female teacher who was about the same age as Gao Jue turned around and asked, "Who are you looking for?"

"Excuse me, who is the teacher Ban Ying in Class 3 of the first year?" Gao Jue asked kindly.

"That's me. If you have anything to do with me, come in and sit down." The female teacher said politely.  Looking at Gao Jue's age, she didn't look like a parent of a student.

"I am Zhang Xiaohu's brother. I heard from him that the teacher changed his position at school. The child was short and couldn't see the blackboard from behind, so I came over to ask what the reason was." Gao Jue said,  He walked to Ban Ying's desk and sat down naturally.

"It is normal to change students' seats. You cannot say that he must sit in the front and other children must sit in the back. In a class, there are dozens of children, and there must be some sitting in the front.  Sitting in the back. Everyone wants to sit in the front, but there are only so many seats in the front." Ban Ying explained calmly.

"You are right, but Zhang Xiaohu is too short and can't even see the blackboard from behind. This will have a great impact on his learning." Gao Jue said.

"If you are short, then find a way to raise the chair. If your eyes are short-sighted, wear glasses." Ban Ying said lightly.

"Ha" Gao Jue smiled and said: "You teacher, what you say is really interesting. This is the first time I heard that if you are short and can't see the blackboard, you have to find a way to raise the chair. If Zhang Xiaohu's  His academic performance is really poor and he is very naughty. In order not to affect the study of the students in front, he was transferred to the back. Then I have nothing to say. However, if there is no proper reason, he is transferred to the back for no reason.  Later, it¡¯s hard to believe.¡±

"Whether you are convinced or not has nothing to do with me. You are convinced or not. In the class, I have the final say. Whoever I tell you to sit must sit where I say." Ban Ying raised her face and looked at it with contempt.  Gao Jue said proudly.

"Teacher Ban Ying, as a teacher, your duty is to teach and educate people, and your words and deeds are a model for students to learn from. You should be convincing in your conduct and actions. How can you speak like this and be a role model for others? Yours  What you did cannot convince me or the students, isn't it not good?" Gao Jue still said gently.

There were three other teachers in the office. After listening to Gao Jue's words, one of them, the older one, couldn't help but blush a little, while the other two, who were under thirty, looked very disapproving.  Ban Ying was the same way. She snorted coldly and said, "Whether I look like a teacher or not, and whether I act as a role model for others, is the decision of the Education Bureau and the principal of the school. It has nothing to do with you. If you look at  If you don¡¯t like it, I won¡¯t dare to complain!¡±

Gao Jue nodded, with a smile on his face, but did not speak. He stood up slowly and walked towards the door. When he reached the door, he turned back and said, "Goodbye."

He really didn't expect that the school's teachers would become like this. He still remembered that when he was in school, the school's teachers were very caring about the students. If there was anything unusual about the students, such as being always late or sleeping in class, the teachers would pick on them.  Go to the house for a home visit after dinner.

What¡¯s going on now? Not only does he have a bad attitude, but he also deliberately makes things difficult for a student by changing his seat because he doesn¡¯t buy a canteen meal ticket.

Gao Jue walked downstairs. Because it was class time, there was almost no one in the corridor. He walked to the stairs and was about to go downstairs when he heard the voice of a middle-aged woman, "What do you want to do about what I told you last time?"  Okay, my nephew is quite good, and his family conditions are good. It¡¯s hard to find someone with conditions like this."

"Auntie, I'll think about it again." This was the voice of a young woman.

"How long have you been thinking about this?" The woman said with some displeasure, "Well, you can think about it again if you want, but don't think about it for too long. At the end of this semester, the school will be merged.  ¡±

The voice settled down and footsteps sounded, as if they were going downstairs.

Then, there were footsteps going upstairs again. Gao Jue stood at the top of the stairs and looked down. What came up was a young woman about the same age as himself. The woman was wearing a sky blue overalls, with the collar turned out, revealing  Underneath the white neck is a white shirt with beads hanging on it.  The lower body is wearing a pair of black bell-bottom pants and black low-heeled leather shoes.

The woman had a sad look on her face, as if she had encountered something sad. I felt pity for her pitiful look.

"Hu Nina" Gao Jue recognized her. She was the high school classmate she met during the Chinese New Year.

"Gao Jue" Hu Nina was in a daze. Gao Jue greeted her and she noticed there was someone above.

"What's wrong? Look at your appearance. Have you encountered something unhappy?" Gao Jue asked gently.

"No, it's nothing. By the way, why are you here?" Hu Nina asked.

"I have a younger brother who studies here. He is very short. He originally sat in the front row and had good academic performance, but he was suddenly moved to the last row. Because he could not see the blackboard and felt aggrieved, his academic performance dropped significantly.  . So, I came here to ask what the reason was." Gao Jue said truthfully.

"Alas" Upon hearing this, Hu Nina couldn't help but sigh, and just shook her head, but didn't say anything.

Seeing her expression like this shows her helplessness towards reality.  Gao Jue took a few steps down and whispered: "I heard from the child that the teacher changed his place because he didn't buy a meal ticket from the canteen. Is this possible?"

    Hu Nina nodded.

With her nod, Gao Jue was sure that this seemed to be the case.  Immediately, she became curious, why did the school teacher do this, and what good would it do to her? Aren't she afraid that the students would sue?

Gao Jue whispered again: "Why is this? Do you know?"

"This" Hu Nina hesitated for a moment, not knowing whether to say it or not.

At this moment, the get out of class bell suddenly rang.  "Ring ring ring"

"get out of class is over. I have my next class. I'll go up and wash my face first." After Hu Nina finished speaking, she was about to go upstairs.

"What time will you get off work tonight?" Seeing that she was about to leave, Gao Jue asked quickly.

    "Five o'clock."

¡°I¡¯ll treat you to dinner tonight, how about we chat then?¡± Gao Jue said with a smile.

"Thenokay" Hu Nina nodded and walked up.

Gao Jue went downstairs alone and quickly left the school courtyard.  On the street in front of the school, there are all bookstores on the left side, selling exercise books, tutorial materials and the like.  The right side is full of restaurants, mostly ramen restaurants.

I looked at the clock and saw that there was only one class left and school would be over at noon.  Since it is said that teachers use changing seats as a threat to force students to buy meal tickets in the cafeteria, it means that students must eat in the cafeteria at noon.  So, he decided to see how many people came out to eat at the school gate and whether there were many people.

I went into the ramen restaurant closest to the school, ordered a side dish, a bottle of soda, and a bowl of noodles, and sat down to eat slowly.  He was the only customer in the restaurant. The landlady and the waiter were both busy, so he looked at the landlady and asked casually: "Madam, you are guarding the school, your business must be very good."

"It used to be good, but now it's unlucky. This shabby school forces students to eat on campus. If it continues like this, it won't be long before my little shop is closed." The boss's wife listened to Gao Jue's question.  , seemed to arouse the dissatisfaction in her heart, and she immediately complained.

"Where students want to eat is their business. What right does the school have to force students to eat on campus?" Gao Jue asked hurriedly when he saw that the proprietress seemed to have some inside information.

"That's not easy. The school will say that the food outside is unhygienic and their school cafeteria is clean, and ask students to buy meal tickets and eat inside the school. If the students don't agree, then they will use other tricks, such as giving students  Change the seats and move students who don¡¯t buy meal tickets to the last row. Parents want students to sit in the front row, how can they want their children to sit in the back, so they have to admit it. My daughter is studying in No. 7 Middle School.  I used to come here to eat, but now I have no choice but to eat in school." The landlady said, with anger in her tone.

"Besides this, is there any other way?" Gao Jue asked again.

"Furthermore, the lunch break has been shortened. Normally, school doesn't end at 11:30 and starts at 1:00. Now the school has forced it to change to nap before 12 o'clock in the class. I heard from my daughter that they are even allowed to come down during the week.  They checked and blocked the students at the school gate. If they came back late, they would have points deducted from the class. The teacher would not let the students enter the classroom and make them stand outside." said the proprietress.

"What kind of rule is this? Because of this, students are not allowed to enter the classroom and are forced to stand outside. Can parents complain to the Education Bureau?" Gao Jue said.

"Sue? What's wrong with suing? The school and the Education Bureau are not all the same. The most it can do is criticize, and the teacher can be fired! The teacher has nothing to do. What will happen to the child then? He will have to wear small shoes all the time.  ." said the landlady.Hearing this, Gao Jue thought the same thing was true. Most parents consider that one thing more is worse than one thing less, so they just admit it and let their children have lunch at school.  Zhang Xiaohu's family had no choice but to not go home to eat because of difficulties.  Fortunately, No. 7 Middle School is close to home. It takes half an hour and can be reached by bicycle.

He ate a bowl of rice and asked for another. After a while, the school bell rang, and Gao Jue looked at the door.  Soon, students came out one after another from the campus, not many, but there were about one or two hundred.

Among the students, some left in a hurry on bicycles, while others went into groups of three and went to nearby restaurants to eat.

A dozen students came into the ramen restaurant where Gao Jue was located. Some of these students only ordered a bowl of rice, while some were generous and could order two meat dishes.  They all ate very quickly. Gao Jue thought they were rushing back to class to rest before twelve o'clock. Unexpectedly, after the group went out, they went straight to the billiards hall not far away.
