"Boom! Boom! Boom!" On the sea of ??Tokyo Bay, four battleships and four heavy cruisers of the Chinese Navy were pouring firepower crazily towards Tokyo.  The scorching shells crossed the sea and hit the Japanese capital hard.  High-explosive bombs added with phosphorus powder showed very terrifying power. Often, a street would burn with one shell.

The first one to be attacked was the Minato District of Tokyo, followed by the Koto District near the sea, followed by the Chuo District.  Most Japanese houses are made of wood, which caused very heavy losses after being bombarded by special artillery shells from the Chinese Navy.  The whole of Tokyo seemed to be on fire.

The sudden heavy shelling sent the entire Tokyo into panic.  A large number of Japanese fled from the house with their families and their families, and fled frantically to the inland areas for their lives.  The streets were suddenly overcrowded.  However, this also gives the Chinese Navy a good opportunity. Often, as soon as a main gun shell is fired, hundreds or even thousands of Japanese who are fleeing will die.  Tokyo seems to have fallen into a hell.  Thick smoke was everywhere, burning houses were everywhere, and the air seemed to be filled with the aroma of barbecue.

"Counterattack, counterattack! Sink the Chinese warship!" In Jiangdong District, a seaside position.  The artillery of the Guards Division was stationed here. After being bombarded by the Chinese Navy in Tokyo, they all gritted their teeth. The captain of the artillery regiment, regardless of the strength gap between the two sides, asked the artillery to launch a counterattack.

"Boom! Boom!" Our own artillery shells fell on the sea. Although they were still some distance away from the Chinese Navy's warships, it also shocked Deng Shichang and others. Do you think Japan still has the power to fight back?  Then I realized it was just an Army cannon, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Several light cruisers immediately turned their guns and poured artillery fire on the artillery positions of the Guards Division.  In less than ten minutes, the artillery position of the Guards Division was enveloped by Chinese naval artillery fire. The artillerymen were killed and almost all the cannons were blown to pieces.

"Captain, where is the imperial palace of Little Japan?" On the light cruiser "Leshan", the gunnery officer asked Captain Li Deming.

"The imperial palace of Little Japan is in Chiyoda District, just west of Chuo District!" Li Deming replied.

"Then can we get the naval guns on our ship? If we can kill the little Japanese bullshit emperor with one shot, that would be great!" the gunnery officer said with a smile.

"This distance seems a bit long, unless we drive less than two kilometers from the coast. In addition, we don't know the specific location of Little Japan's imperial palace. Chiyoda District is so big, we may not be able to accurately hit their palace!"  Li Deming said.

"Captain, how about we give it a try. If we can kill the little Emperor of Japan, that will be a great achievement!" the gunnery officer encouraged.

Li Deming hesitated for a moment, and finally said: "Okay, let's do it. The whole ship is ready and moves forward four kilometers. Aim and fire in the direction of Chiyoda!"

The light cruiser "Leshan" immediately sailed towards the shore.  Their unusual behavior attracted Deng Shichang's attention.

"What is the 'Leshan' going to do? Send a report and ask!" Deng Shichang ordered.

However, when the telegram was handed over to Li Deming, the "Leshan" had already stopped less than two kilometers away from the coast.  At this time, the two twin-mounted 155mm naval guns mounted on the "Leshan" poured firepower into the Chiyoda District of Tokyo at a rate of five rounds per minute.  Because they didn't know whether they could hit the Japanese Imperial Palace, they slightly adjusted the direction of the bombardment after each minute of bombardment.

"That direction seems to be Chiyoda District? That's not the target of our bombardment, right?" Fleet Chief of Staff Li Dingxin said with some confusion.

"Asshole, let the 'Leshan' come back immediately. The Japanese Imperial Palace is in Chiyoda District. If they blow up the Emperor of Japan to death, then we and Little Japan will be fighting to death, and there is no way we can get a huge amount of war from Little Japan."  Compensation is due!" Deng Shichang said with a livid face.

"Ah! That guy Li Deming is really a bold guy!" Li Dingxin cursed and immediately asked the communications officer to send a stern telegram to the "Leshan".  Captain Li Deming of the "Leshan" had to return only after receiving the telegram.  However, during this period, they had already poured hundreds of artillery shells into Chiyoda District.

In the Imperial Palace of Japan, Emperor Meiji¡¯s face turned livid as he listened to the rumbling sound of cannons.  The capital of Japan was groaning and suffering under the ravages of the Chinese navy. He, the emperor, was unable to do anything about it, which made him very angry.  Minister of Internal Affairs Kasui InoueThe attendant stood aside, but after seeing the gloomy expression of Emperor Meiji, he did not dare to say anything.

At this time, a series of explosions suddenly sounded outside the palace.  Inoue Xin's face suddenly changed: "Do the Chinese really dare to bombard the Japanese palace?"

¡°Subsequently, a cannonball fell into the palace, blowing the main hall into ruins and killing several guards on the spot.  Fortunately, Emperor Meiji was not there at the moment, otherwise, he would probably be doomed.  However, this was so frightening that Emperor Meiji turned pale.

"Your Majesty the Emperor, hurry to the basement. The Chinese are going to launch a bombardment on our palace!" Inoue Kaoru immediately pulled Emperor Meiji and ran outside, rushing to the basement of the palace without any regard for etiquette.  .  Later, the queen and many princes also hid in the basement of the palace.  The basement of the palace can withstand heavy artillery bombardment and is a safe hiding place.  However, since then, the Chinese Navy's bombardment of Chiyoda District seemed to have stopped, which made Emperor Meiji feel a lot more at ease.

The shelling by the Chinese Navy only lasted for an hour and ended.  Because they didn't bring many special artillery shells this time, they had all used them up by now, and the whole of Tokyo had been set on fire.  Afterwards, Deng Shichang ordered the return voyage, leaving Tokyo Bay and heading to the open sea.  Tokyo Bay is too narrow. If the Japanese use torpedo boats to launch a sneak attack at night, it will be difficult for the Chinese navy to resist it.

Although the Chinese naval bombardment is over, the fire in Tokyo has not been extinguished.  At this time, the southeast wind was blowing, which helped the fire spread to other areas of Tokyo.  In addition, most of the houses in Tokyo are made of wood and fire-fighting facilities are relatively backward. Even though Tokyo's firefighters and the army tried their best, it took two days to put out the fire.  In this fire, almost one-fifth of the entire Tokyo was burned down. Tens of thousands of people died in the fire, and 200,000 people were left homeless.  The most important thing is that the top officials of the Japanese Emperor's Black Cabinet are completely cowardly.  The Chinese navy can destroy one-fifth of Tokyo in one go. If it comes a few more times, the whole of Tokyo will be destroyed!

Although he was very angry and unwilling, Emperor Meiji had to send a message to Hirobumi Ito in Beijing after discussing with his ministers, asking him to start negotiations with China as soon as possible and sign a peace treaty as soon as possible.

"Your Excellency Prime Minister, our government protests against your country's wanton massacre of civilians! Demand that your country immediately stop this inhumane behavior! And compensate our country for its losses." During the Sino-Japanese negotiations that resumed on June 14  Among them, Hirobumi Ito scolded loudly.

"This is just a normal combat operation. We did not expect it to cause damage to Tokyo. However, compared with the tragedy caused by your army in Liaodong, this is simply nothing. And, I solemnly tell Mr. Ito,  If your country does not agree to the peace conditions proposed by our country, then the war will continue until the entire Japan is in ruins!" Liang Xingrong said without giving in.

Ito Hirobumi's arrogant momentum suddenly shrank, but in order to reduce Japan's losses, he still said: "The conditions proposed by your country are too harsh, and it is really difficult for our country to accept it."

"That's very regrettable. This is already our country's bottom line and will not be lowered any further!" Liang Xingrong refused without hesitation.

Subsequently, the two sides launched a new round of disputes. However, no matter what Hirobumi Ito said, China would not let go on key issues.  Finally, after two days of intense negotiations, the two sides finally reached an agreement.  However, the main conditions are still the six points previously proposed by China, with only some minor changes being made.  For example, Yokohama is the gateway to Tokyo, but Japan refuses to open this port.  Hachijo Island is too close to Tokyo Bay, and Japan refuses to cede it, etc.  These were all minor issues. After discussion, Liang Xingrong, Wu Tingfang and Cai Yun all agreed to Japan's request.

On June 16, Chinese representative Liang Xingrong and Japanese representative Hirobumi Ito formally signed the "China-Japan Beijing Treaty" in Beijing and exchanged the treaty.  At this point, the Sino-Japanese War ended.

The main contents of the treaty are as follows:

First, Japan admits defeat and apologizes to China!

Second, Japan will compensate China for war reparations and losses to the country and people of 200 million pounds!

Third, Japan ceded the Tokara Islands, Osumi Islands, Ogasawara Islands and other islands to China!

Fourth, Japan must return Ryukyu King Shoutai. Ryukyu has always been a vassal state of China, so Japan cannot be allowed to occupy it.

Fifth, the Japanese army withdrew from the Liaodong Peninsula and the Korean Peninsula.

Sixth, open Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Osaka and Nagoya as treaty ports. The Chinese want extraterritoriality in these treaty ports.

Seventh, from the date of signing of the treaty, China and Japan will cease war operations.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????mbpsmbps together out of stock  After the signing of the Beijing Treaty between China and Japan, Britain, France and the United States provided loans to Japan to repay China's war reparations.  Five days later, the first war reparations of 100 million pounds had arrived in China's hands.
