Central America, Caribbean Sea.  The Greater Andres and Lesser Antilles are like a chain that separates the Caribbean Sea from the Atlantic Ocean.  In the earliest times, these islands became colonies of Spain and Portugal.  But as these two old colonial powers declined, Britain and France took their place.  After the rise of the United States, the entire Caribbean region became the sphere of influence of the United States.

Americans have always regarded the Caribbean as their backyard.  However, China has successfully driven a wedge in the Caribbean.

First, there was a coup in Mexico. The pro-China Madero government took control of most of Mexico¡¯s territory, while the U.S-backed Dias could only survive in several states in northern Mexico.  In addition, after the war in the Middle East, China acquired Guadeloupe, an important island in the Lesser Antilles, from France.  Although China's influence in the Caribbean is weak, after acquiring Guadeloupe and establishing a military port in Basseterre on the island, China's influence has been greatly expanded in such areas!

Guadeloupe is located in the middle of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea.  It is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Caribbean Sea to the west, the Guadeloupe Strait to the northwest, and the Dominican Strait to the south.  It has a tropical rainforest climate with an average temperature of 261. Columbus arrived on the island in 1493 and it was ruled by Spain in the 16th century.  French colonists occupied the island in 1635.  Later it was captured by the British several times.  In 185 it was again under French rule.  After the Middle East War, the defeated France transferred the island to China.

Guadeloupe is made up of several islands in the Lesser Antilles in the eastern Caribbean Sea.  The closest major islands are the British territory of Montserrat to the northwest and Dominica to the south.  Another French overseas department, Martinique, is located about 119 kilometers south of it.  The main territory of Guadeloupe is the twin islands of Basseterre in the west and Grande Terre in the east. The two islands are separated by the narrow waterway Sary Strait; the other islands in the archipelago are Marie-Canada in the southeast.  Rante Island, La Desirade Island in the east and Saint Island in the south, and the other two island territories - Saint Barth¨¦lemy and Saint Martin.

Basseterre Island covers an area of ??943 square kilometers. A line of mountains stretches from north to south. The highest point is Soufriere Mountain, which is 1,467 meters high.  Other famous peaks are the 1-meter-high Mount Santuch¨¦ and the 13-meter-high Mount Grande Cuvert.  The mountains form a watershed from which rivers flow to the sea.  The main river on the island is the Gaujavis River; the other rivers are the Grand Pleine, the Lesser Pleine, the Mustique, the Leszard and the Ross.  Basseterre Island has a beautiful coastline consisting of winding bays and picturesque beaches.  Grande Terre covers an area of ??50 square kilometers and is generally low-lying, with only a few steep slopes higher than 149 meters.  The islands of Saint Martin and Saint Barthelemy have rugged terrain, with heights of 424 meters and 281 meters respectively.

After China acquired Guadeloupe, it built a large number of fortifications on the island and stored a large amount of food, weapons and ammunition.  Because this island is isolated offshore, we must be prepared to hold on for a long time.  On the island, China deployed two battalions of garrison troops and one battalion of infantry to garrison various parts of Guadeloupe.  The other battalion is the coastal defense force, responsible for guarding the fortress of Basseterre Port.  The fortress of Basseterre Port took China three years to build. It has four forts and thirteen forts. A total of sixteen 210mm coastal defense guns, 32 155mm coastal defense guns and dozens of  105mm and 75mm guns.  The Chinese Navy has also deployed a small fleet of four light cruisers and four destroyers in Guadeloupe.  The main mission of this fleet is to patrol the Caribbean Sea, especially the Panama Canal estuary. Once a large warship of the U.S. Navy is discovered to want to pass through the canal, it will immediately report to the Chinese Navy's Pacific Fleet so that the Pacific Fleet can sail at the Pacific estuary of the Panama Canal.  intercept large U.S. Navy battleships.  After the canal was opened to navigation, the U.S. Navy tried several times to quietly let battleships pass through the canal and head to the west coast, but it was discovered by the Chinese navy every time and was blocked in time. This made the U.S. Navy hate it.  And the small fleet in Guadeloupe naturally contributed a lot!

On September 5, 1911, the European War was in full swing. Germany, Britain and France were fighting in northern France and Belgium.  Although the German offensive was very fierce, the British and French forces were also very resilient. After paying a huge price, they finally withstood the German attack.  However, Britain and France are under increasing pressure. The two countries continue to urge Russia to strengthen its attack on Germany. At the same time, the United States, another important member of the Allied Powers, has also become the target of the two countries' urging.  Britain and France demanded that the United States send at least 200,000 troops to Europe.  Under such circumstances, the United States had no choice but to provoke a war with China first.

On September 15th, a huge fleet passed by the waters south of the Cayman Islands. This fleet flew the Stars and Stripes and consisted of twenty huge battleships and dozens of heavy cruisers and light cruisers.??Destroyer composition.  Behind, there are more than twenty transport ships!

On the USS Nevada, the flagship of the US fleet, Admiral William Benson, commander of the US Navy's West Coast Fleet, is assigning tasks.

"General Abor, let's separate here! I will lead the main force of the fleet through the Panama Canal and fight the Chinese Navy's Pacific Fleet. You will lead part of the fleet to Guadeloupe. The Chinese only have a few people in Guadeloupe.  Just a light cruiser and a destroyer, I give you two Delaware class battleships and two Florida class battleships, as well as two heavy cruisers and some light cruisers and destroyers. Be sure to capture Guadeloupe and will  Eradicate the Chinese stronghold in the Caribbean!" Admiral William Benson said.

"Yes, General! I will definitely complete the mission!" Edward = Major General Abor said firmly.  If he brought so many powerful warships to deal with Guadeloupe, which only had a few small warships, and failed, he would probably not have the face to survive.

"General Kunz, the Chinese navy's fleet in Guadeloupe is nothing to worry about. The only thing that needs to be worried about is the Chinese coastal defense fortress. In addition, the Chinese have two battalions of more than 2,000 garrison troops there. At the same time,  There are also a large number of fortifications built on the mountains of Basseterre Island.

It is not easy to occupy the entire island of Guadeloupe.  Our Marine Corps has just been established and does not have sufficient experience.  So be careful in battle!  "William = Benson reminded the island. The U.S. Marine Corps has just been formed, and there are only three divisions in total. This time, the 2nd Division of the U.S. Marine Corps was responsible for landing on Guadeloupe.

"Yes, General!" Edward = Major General Aibo nodded, but he felt a little disapproval in his heart!

At three o'clock in the afternoon, the American fleet parted ways.  Admiral William Benson led the main fleet to turn southwest and head for the Panama Canal.  At the same time, a large number of light cruisers and destroyers have set off, preparing to expel nearby Chinese Navy warships.  According to the plan, they will arrive at the canal around 9 p.m. and pass through the canal before tomorrow morning to avoid interception by the Chinese Navy's Pacific Fleet.

Rear Admiral Edward Able led a fleet of four battleships and continued southward to Guadeloupe, preparing to deal with China's only naval base in the Caribbean.

At 9 pm on the 5th, the U.S. fleet arrived at the Panama Canal and began passing through the canal.  However, due to the large number of people, it would probably take a full day to completely pass through the canal.  However, as long as the battleship passes first, they don't have to be afraid.  Perhaps it is because God is on the side of the Americans. At this time, the Chinese Navy has only one light cruiser at the mouth of the east side of the Panama Canal.  After being driven off by the U.S. Navy, it retreated south.  After reporting it to the Chinese Navy's Pacific Fleet, it did not attract the Pacific Fleet's attention.  In the past two years, the navies of China and the United States have often pursued each other in the Caribbean.

At 6 a.m. on the 16th, all Nevada-class battleships and New York-class battleships of the U.S. fleet have passed through the Panama Canal, and all subsequent battleships will also pass through within three hours.

At this time, the fleet led by Major General Edward Abor also appeared in the waters less than fifty kilometers away from Basseterre Port on Drop Island.  The Chinese Navy's destroyer Conghua discovered the incoming U.S. fleet and sent a telegram to the Port of Basseterre as soon as possible!

The Chinese Navy's squadron in Guadeloupe consists of four Ningbo-class light cruisers and four Fuqing-class destroyers, namely the light cruisers Foshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen and  'Zhanjiang,' destroyers 'Conghua,' 'Zengcheng,' 'Lechang,' and 'Nanxiong,' destroyers.  At this time, there were two light cruisers and two destroyers in Basseterre Port, and the rest of the warships were performing missions outside!

The commander of the Guadeloupe Naval Base was Navy Captain Yu Boxuan. After receiving the telegram from the destroyer Conghua, he couldn't help but change his face. On the one hand, he ordered the naval base warships to leave the port immediately, and at the same time ordered the coastal defense forces to do the following.  Good war preparation.  On the other hand, a telegram was immediately sent to the Pacific Fleet and the country.  The Americans sent so many warships this time, obviously with bad intentions.

At 6:25 in the morning, the U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Edward Abbott ordered the fleet to attack the Chinese Navy's destroyer Conghua. The Battle of Guadeloupe began, and the third Sino-U.S. War also kicked off!
