Text Chapter 246 Loud noise

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

In the afternoon, when they had a rare free time, a few old people moved the table outside the courtyard under the sun, and then played mahjong.

The two young men had no love for mahjong, so they simply hid in the house and surfed the Internet.

Zhang Qian had just been chatting for a while when Suna Na called, so she put the mouse into Liu Junhao's hand and hid in the courtyard to cook in the rice cooker.  Although his wife didn't let him listen, Liu Junhao could guess the content of the call, which was nothing more than Suna Na's complaints about blind dates.

Suna Na has graduated for two or three years and is considered to be in her mid-teens.  Naturally, her family was worried about letting her find a boyfriend to stabilize her life, but she had a careless temper and failed to meet her expectations after several meetings. In the end, they simply stopped seeing him.  Unfortunately, my family pushed me too hard and kept talking about it in my ears every day.  She was very depressed. Two days ago, she said she really couldn't do it and hid in Liujiagou during the New Year.

As soon as I logged into QQ, that guy Pang Xu immediately sent me a message. The first sentence he said was, "I'm dizzy. I'm so depressed."

Liu Junhao quickly asked what happened?

When I asked, I found out that this guy was worried about getting married. He and Xu Xiaoli had just had a quarrel over this matter.

?Then the man started chatting again, starting from work to house, and then from house to marriage.  In short, there is nothing as expected in life.

I never noticed before that this guy likes to nag, just like Tang Seng in "Journey to the West".  However, he couldn't say much about these things. He could only cheer him up and comfort him. In fact, he was quite puzzled. Could it be that he and Zhang Qian had become "exhaust pipes", and anyone who had any complaints would come and complain.

Before I could say a few words of comfort, suddenly there was a deafening "bang" sound from outside!  Then I felt the glass of the window rattling and shaking, and even the computer screen shook slightly.  Then the chickens and ducks in the yard started squawking.

"What's wrong? What's wrong?" He didn't care to continue chatting with Pang Xu.  Hurry. Rush out the door.

"I don't know either." Zhang Qian was also startled. The sound just now was too scary.

"Go out and have a look." Liu Junhao hurriedly took his wife out, but saw Professor Zhao and the others were not playing mahjong, and both of them had confused expressions on their faces.

"The sound seems to be coming from the woods" Before Teacher Wang finished speaking, he saw thick smoke coming from the woods, mixed with a burst of "cracking" firecrackers.

"It's on fire." When he saw the smoke, Professor Zhao's expression suddenly changed: Could it be that someone visiting the grave attracted the surrounding trees? He had the impression that there were several graves in the south of the woods.

In the past, burials were practiced in rural areas, and graves were piled into tall and large bulges.  Naturally, no crops can be grown on the bulge, so it is usually covered with weeds.  In autumn and winter, all the grass dries up.

The Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and there are a lot of people visiting graves. There are also quite a few fires caused by burning paper at graves every year.

"Hurry up and take the basin and take a look." Liu Junhao immediately went back to the house to get the basin without saying a word, followed by the remaining people.  The weather is now dry and the woods are full of fallen leaves. Once a fire breaks out, the consequences will be disastrous.

Before they could get there, the sound of firecrackers stopped and the smoke in the woods became much lighter.

"Already destroyed?" Professor Zhao asked in confusion.  The movement I saw just now was not small. How come there was no movement after just a while?

¡°No matter what, hurry over and take a look before we talk.¡± Mr. Wang did not stop.

"Grandma, youwhy are you here?" A scream suddenly came from the front, but it was Xiao Zeyu's voice.  There was a large group of people standing next to him, not only the three little guys, but also the furry children, the little ones, and other half-grown children in the village.

"Why are you here? What was the noise just now?" When Liu Junhao saw them, he instinctively felt that something was wrong.

When he asked, several children shrank their heads and did not dare to say anything.

"Liu Changlin, tell me" Zhang Qian followed up and asked.

"It's nothing We were playing on the river embankment just now. When we heard the sound we rushed there" Seeing the adults staring at him, this naughty kid's voice became louder and louder, so he knew that he was a thief.

"Come with me to see what's going on?" Teacher Wang's face didn't look good at the moment.  The little ones turned pale when they heard her say this.

Even though we were far away, we could still clearly smell the pungent smell of gunpowder in the air.

When everyone arrived at the scene of the explosion, they were all shocked.

I saw that a porcelain basin was blown into two halves, and a big crater was made on the ground in the center. Paper scraps around it fell to the ground.  Even the trees not far away were blasted with several marks.

    "What's going on?"

With Teacher Wang¡¯s question, everyone¡¯s heads lowered, and they all closed their mouths and did not dare to say a word.

"Liu Changlin, you better tell me"

"Weplayed with cannons" This was probably the first time I saw Teacher Wang get angry. This guy didn't dare to make up any more lies.

After listening to his narration, the expressions of several adults changed immediately.  Everyone felt lucky that nothing happened

On the 23rd, every house set off firecrackers. The children had nothing to do at home, so they ran around the village picking up firecrackers.  Rural people are not very keen on machine-made cannons, mainly because they are all toothpick-thick and do not reflect the celebration at all during the New Year.  Most people bought cannons and fired them at home.

The earthen cannons are hand-woven, and usually have many firecrackers as big as copper coins on them. These cannons make a lot of noise when lit, and there are a lot of cannon paper dropped, which corresponds to the Chinese New Year saying of "the more you lose (the more you earn)"  .

Children like this kind of cannon very much when they pick up cannons. The main reason is that the cannons have many misfires and they can pick them up and play with them.

Liu Junhao has done this kind of thing before. Whenever he hears the sound of firecrackers in any house during the New Year, he immediately runs there.  After a year, I can at least pick up one firecracker from the washbasin.  Most of the firecrackers I picked up were peeled off, and then the contents were poured into the chain ring gun for use. There were also a few that I played with.

This group of children did something outrageous. They collected the firecrackers they found and tied them together with cotton thread, and then braided the lead into a line and placed it upside down in a porcelain basin.  The porcelain basin was brought from home by Xiaowazi. There is a thumb-sized hole in the bottom of the basin, which is just right for the lead wire to stick out.

According to their thinking, after so many firecrackers were lit, the momentum would definitely send the porcelain basin into the air, so they all made bets to see how high they could fly and fall.

The person who lit the fuse was a kid. This guy was extra careful when he lit the fuse. He saw that the fuse was too short, so he had someone peel off a few firecrackers, spread the firecrackers inside in a straight line and connect them to the fuse.  The gun was three or four meters long. Finally, he hid behind a tree and lit the gun.  When the gun was lit, he hurriedly ran away.

The result was not as they imagined. The porcelain basin exploded with a loud noise, and the ears of the little guys were also buzzing.  When they saw the movement, they knew something was wrong and ran out of the woods, but before they could get out, they were blocked.

"You are so courageous" Liu Junhao didn't know whether to say Amitabha or God's blessing.  They are really stubborn. During the summer vacation, people mistakenly thought there was a fire when they burned cicadas with wheat straw. As a result, most of the people in the village were alarmed. It happened again this time.  I believe that with such a loud noise, someone will come over and ask questions later.

As soon as he thought of this, he heard Mr. Liu Wu shouting loudly: "Xiao Hao, Teacher Zhang, what happened just now? Something sounded. I heard it in the village"

¡°What else could it be? You have to ask these ¡®talents¡¯,¡± Teacher Wang said from behind.

Soon, Er Mazi and Liu Junqi also rushed over.  When they heard that the explosion just now was caused by children, they were all shocked.  Especially Liu Junqi, without saying a word, he stepped forward and pinched the kid's ears, from the edge of the woods to the entrance of the village, twisting the kid until he screamed "ouch".

"These guys deserve a beating. They really haven't been beaten for three days."

"Zeyu, Jianhui, come in!" After entering the yard, Zhang's mother immediately shouted.

"Uncleaunt" The two little guys knew that they were in big trouble this time, so they didn't dare to enter the house at all. They begged Zhang Qian and Liu Junhao with mournful expressions on their faces.

"Don't look at me, listen to what your mother says." If it were something else, Liu Junhao might beg for mercy.  But this really should be educated!

"If you don't come in yet, do you also want me to twist your ears?" Zhang Ma shouted again, and the two little guys had no choice but to run into the house obediently.

"Hand over the firecrackers, no one is allowed to hide anything." Looking at her two grandsons, she felt a headache.  When the two of them first came to Liujiagou, everything they saw seemed new.  For a while, I picked up a big stone from somewhere, then I climbed up with the trunk of the tree, and then I picked up a kitchen knife and went to cut branches to make a slingshot.

Losing their jobs every day, they are having fun like wild horses running wild.  When I enter the house, my head is always sweaty and my body is covered in dirt!

In the past, they complained that it was inconvenient to buy snacks here, but now they all changed their minds and said they wanted to celebrate the New Year here.  According to the two people, no one is in charge here and they can "go crazy".

They had a great time, but Zhang Ma had a headache.  I told you carefully before going out, but my clothes are dirty every time I come back.  They lay on the ground playing glass balls, playing hide-and-seek in the tumbleweed nest, and climbing on the wheat straw piles. In short they had no peace of mind all day long.  When it comesI brought three sets of clothes, but now I can¡¯t wash them in the washing machine.

These are nothing, the key is that they actually played with firecrackers Thinking of what just happened, Zhang Ma was still scared for a while.  What to do if something happens.

The old lady is very regretful now. She knew she shouldn't have been soft-hearted. If she had listened to her daughter-in-law and left them at home, how could she have caused so many headaches.

Not to mention her headache, when the villagers knew what the loud noise was about, they all started to "manually educate" their children.
