The wind suddenly stopped and the room suddenly became quiet. Wang Baoyu seemed to have fallen asleep and no longer made any sound.  Meng Yaohui took a deep breath and closed his eyes, thinking that he could finally sleep this time.

Just as he was about to fall asleep, a woman's harsh giggle suddenly came from the room, which scared Meng Yaohui to the point of breaking into a cold sweat. Soon, he discovered that the sound came from Wang Baoyu's mouth.

"Abnormal, mentally ill, freak!" Meng Yaohui cursed and covered his head with the quilt, thinking that he would find an opportunity to punish this vulgar guy like Wang Baoyu.

The room was quiet for five minutes, when suddenly there was a knock on the door.  Meng Yaohui's heart suddenly jumped into his throat, and all kinds of fearful things immediately appeared in his mind, and he couldn't help but cover himself even more tightly with the quilt.

The knock on the door came again. Meng Yaohui finally lifted the quilt, turned on the camera, illuminated it with the weak light on the camera, cautiously approached the door, and asked in a low voice: "Who is it?"

The sound stopped suddenly, and just when Meng Yaohui's legs were shaking and he was about to go back, the knock on the door came again. He couldn't bear it anymore, so he pretended to be brave and opened the door.

The person standing at the door was not a female ghost, but a living person, it was Wu Liwan.

Wu Liwan stood at the door holding the quilt, and said with fear on her face: "Commissioner Meng, I, I can't sleep by myself, so I want to sleep in the same room with you."

Meng Yaohui frowned and said, "Isn't this inconvenient? You just cover yourself with a quilt and sleep. Why are there so many things?" After saying that, he wanted to close the door.

Wu Liwan hurriedly stepped forward and said almost pleadingly: "Commissioner Meng, I tend to lose sleep when I'm scared, and I'm even more scared when I lose sleep. Just let me in!"

With the wind and power outage, Wu Liwan was obviously scared and did not dare to live alone. Meng Yaohui thought about it carefully and became happy. After all, Wu Liwan also lived with him. With one more person, he didn't have to be so frightened.

"Assistant Wu, do you miss Deputy Mayor Wang? It's okay, you can go over and sleep with him." Meng Yaohui was happy in his heart, but he teased with a smirk.

"Boring!" Wu Liwan cursed, squeezed into the room, spread the quilt on an empty table in the corner, and lay down.

Meng Yaohui closed the door, yawned loudly, got back into bed out of boredom, closed his eyes, and finally fell asleep peacefully.

Wu Liwan soon began to breathe evenly, as if she was asleep, but Wang Baoyu, who had been pretending to be asleep, could no longer fall asleep.  From Ye Lianxiang, he learned that Wu Liwan had the habit of sleepwalking. Obviously, sleeping in the same room with Wu Liwan would be more terrifying than sleeping with a female ghost.

Wang Baoyu listened carefully to the movements around him, for fear that Wu Liwan would come over and touch his head to check whether the watermelon was ripe. After waiting for half an hour, there was no movement.  Waves of sleepiness came over him, and Wang Baoyu felt that he was really unreliable. As the saying goes, life and death are determined by fate, wealth and honor. No matter so much, he should go to sleep first.

In the daze, the lights in the room suddenly turned on, and the dazzling light made Wang Baoyu open his eyes immediately.  The room was so eerily quiet that not even a breath could be heard.  Wang Baoyu only felt that his scalp was numb, and he bravely raised his head quietly. Meng Yaohui was fast asleep, not much different from a zombie.

Suddenly, there was some movement from the corner. Wang Baoyu followed the sound and saw a shocking scene.

I saw Wu Liwan pulling back the quilt and getting off the ground, but instead of turning off the lights, she opened her eyes blankly, looking here and there, but seemed not to be looking at anything.

Wu Liwan really started to sleepwalk!  Anyone would be nervous in this kind of scene. Wang Baoyu couldn't help but be more vigilant. Fortunately, there were no knives or sticks in the house, otherwise Wang Baoyu would have run out immediately to escape.

Wu Liwan slowly walked toward him. Wang Baoyu's heart was so nervous that he almost jumped out of his chest. He squinted his eyes and watched Wu Liwan's movements closely, ready to dodge at any time.

But Wu Liwan walked up to Meng Yaohui, giggled and stood still. Wang Baoyu suddenly became interested. He really wanted to see Meng Yaohui's reaction to this situation.

Sure enough, after a while, Meng Yaohui was also awakened by the light. He felt something strange around him. When he suddenly opened his eyes, he saw a woman's face, less than a foot away from him.

Meng Yaohui sat up with a cry of fright, his face changed.  When he opened his eyes again, he realized it was Wu Liwan. After a while, he asked angrily: "Assistant Wu, what do you want to do if you are up so late?"

Wu Liwan¡¯s eyes were dull, and she didn¡¯t return to his question. She stretched out her arms stiffly, and Meng Yaohui ducked back again and again.  However, Wu Liwan only touched Meng Yaohui's pillow and murmured to herself: "Good baby, go to sleep, go to sleep."

"Who are you calling a good baby?" MengYaohui asked unhappily.

"It's because mom didn't take good care of you. Mom is sorry for you." Wu Liwan still said to herself. Suddenly, the gentle expression on her face disappeared, and then she screamed "ah".  Wu Liwan threw down the pillow, quickly ran to the corner, huddled there, covered her head with her hands, sobbed, and wailed in extreme fear: "Don't hit me! Don't hit me!"

Wu Liwan¡¯s voice sounded extremely desolate and frightening, and it was even more eerie at night.  Meng Yaohui suddenly realized that Wu Liwan was sleepwalking, and his scalp became numb. He was so frightened that he ran away at least half of the time. He opened the door desperately and ran out along the dim corridor.

The more Meng Yaohui thought about it, the more he became afraid, and the more he became afraid, the more he thought about it. He had also heard the story about sleepwalking and chopping watermelon, and he was secretly glad that he had saved a small life.

Running out of the village branch, it was pitch dark outside. Meng Yaohui didn't know where to go. Suddenly he saw Wang Baoyu's car parked in the yard and ran over quickly. Fortunately, the door was unlocked.

Meng Yaohui opened the car door and lay trembling in the back seat of the car. He leaned against the car window and watched for a long time, fearing that Wu Liwan would suddenly be sleepwalking and chase her out again. In this way, Meng Yaohui stayed in the car until dawn in fear.

But Wang Baoyu in the room was no longer sleepy at all. Although he had never seen a sleepwalker before, the lights were bright and he didn't feel so scared anymore.  Various signs indicate that although Wu Liwan was sleepwalking, she did not do any harm to anyone, so there is no need to worry too much.

Wang Baoyu lit up a cigarette and looked at Wu Liwan shivering in the corner. She felt funny in her heart. This kind of appearance even scared old men like herself and Meng Yaohui half to death. I really don't know why Ye Lianxiang slept with her for several nights.  Yes, it¡¯s not easy.

Wang Baoyu also sighed in his heart. From Wu Liwan's broken actions and words, he had already guessed Wu Liwan's unfortunate experience.
