July 23, 1918 21:20 Cheboksary Kolchak former enemy headquarters

"Alexander Vasilyevich, the telegram from the Volga Federation is here!" Guillaume Nikolayevich Hastings, Chief of the General Staff of the All-Russian Provisional Government, quickly walked into Kolchak's small meeting  room. By this time, both Dimilev and Krashilnikov had returned to their headquarters. It was late at night, but the lights were still brightly lit in Kolchak's small conference room. The highest consul in Russia and the White Guard  The commander-in-chief was frowning at the map on the table, thinking about the next battle plan.

"Pepe, you can reply so quickly? What did the other party say? Have you agreed to our request?" Kolchak did not pick up the telegram from Hastings, but picked up the one on the table.  Kettle, poured a glass of water for his chief of staff, but his hands were trembling slightly, obviously pretending to be calm.

Seeing this, Hastings dismissed the surrounding combat staff and guards, and ordered people to close the small conference rooms. Then he returned to the room, unfolded the telegram, and read under the light:

To the Supreme Consul of the All-Russian Provisional Government

    His Excellency Alexander Vasilyevich Kolchak

    July 23, 1918 21:15

After our careful consideration and deliberation, you have proposed that the Volga Federation be responsible for borrowing the passage and ensuring that the main force of the White Guards stranded in Rostov, Kalmykia and Astrakhan south of Tsaritsyn can smoothly move north to Kazan.  We feel that the request for combat is not enough to strengthen the strength of the White Guards in Kazan. The reason is that the White Guards generals and soldiers in the south may not be willing to leave their homes and go all the way north to fight on the front line in Kazan.

To this end, on behalf of the Volga Federal Government, I would like to make a new suggestion to you, that is, to simply pull the plug once and for all. Your All-Russian Provisional Government in Kazan should voluntarily give up all the control areas south of Tsaritsyn and concentrate its main forces in Kazan.  Only in this way can the careers of you and the people who follow you get new opportunities and breakthroughs. As the saying goes, only by concentrating your efforts in one place can you accomplish great things.

We believe that voluntarily giving up these lands south of Tsaritsyn, which are beyond the reach of your All-Russian Provisional Government in Kazan and have no time to take care of, will enable you to throw away your baggage and illusions, fight with your last ditch, and make the greatest sacrifice for your ideals.  At the same time, more importantly, it will make it easier for you to persuade the White Guard generals and soldiers in the south to go north to the Kazan line, join the camp of the All-Russian Provisional Government, and work together to fight side by side!

Of course, it will be very difficult to convince the White Guard generals and soldiers in the south to leave their homes and go to Kazan, 1,000 kilometers away in the north. However, as long as you have enough courage and make the right choice, then give up the south  land, on the contrary, the White Guard soldiers in the south had to make the right choice. Only by being in the same boat can we help each other.

If they are half-hearted speculators and people who follow the wind, then their departure will make your team more united, more focused, and more effective!  Once you, on behalf of the All-Russian Provisional Government, announce that you will voluntarily give up the land south of Tsaritsyn, then all the White Guards who remain there and are unwilling to go north, including their commanders and soldiers, will no longer be considered yours by the Volga Federation.  One member!

In this case, we believe that it will help the White Guard generals and soldiers in the south make a choice that is conducive to the unity of Kazan, that is, go north to join the All-Russian Provisional Government in Kazan, instead of lingering in the south while fighting against the White Guards  Under the banner, they are doing the deeds of bandits and robbers!

Of course, we hope that the White Guard generals south of Tsaritsyn can adapt to the current situation and make the right choice to prove that when they swore allegiance to the All-Russian Provisional Government and to Your Excellency, it was not political speculation, but their true willingness to follow you and serve the Russian people.  They are struggling for their careers, but whether they can make the right choice will depend on the joint efforts and guidance of you and me.

However, one thing that the Volga Federation can confirm is that once your All-Russian Provisional Government makes the decision to abandon the land south of Tsaritsyn, and the local White Guard generals disobey your order and refuse to go north, then what lies ahead of them will be  There are only two ways out.

Or, they can voluntarily choose to join the forces of the Volga Federation. We will establish the Don Autonomous Republic or the North Caucasus Autonomous Republic. The local people will enjoy completely equal national treatment of the Volga Federation. The newly established autonomous republic will be like other autonomous republics in the Volga Federation.  Autonomous republics, like states, have full ethnic equality and autonomy rights.

Or, they will be expelled from this land because they have lost their legal status and can only be regarded as illegal armed forces. In view of the military discipline of the White Guards, you can imagine that their future ending will be nothing more than horse bandits and robbers.  Running around and robbing, they were finally completely annihilated!

asPrime Minister of the Volga Federation, I have always admired you for your courage and firm will to pursue your true intentions. Although the Volga Federation maintains a neutral stance externally, it cannot directly assist any party in the war with arms and weapons to avoid causing the second war.  misunderstanding among three parties.

However, I personally believe that blood is thicker than water, and the fact that the Volga Federation is a friendly neighbor of Your Excellency and the All-Russian Provisional Government has not changed at this moment. Although our pursuits are different, the overall goals for the future are generally the same!

To this end, after your All-Russian Provisional Government announces that it will abandon the land south of Tsaritsyn and evacuate the White Guards from there, the Volga Federal Government is willing to provide you with the following arms assistance:

    1. It can be equipped with 15 artillery batteries of 76mm Russian artillery and 15,000 artillery shells of the same caliber.

    2. 600 Russian-made wheeled Maxim heavy machine guns and 3 million rounds of machine gun bullets

Your Excellency, you can regard the above assistance as the Volga Federation's compensation for Kazan's withdrawal of the Southern White Guards, but we cannot regard this as a deal for arms in exchange for land. In fact, I can tell you a little bit today that the Volga Federation will soon  We will launch the Ukrainian Campaign and the Southern Campaign. We have never regarded the White Guards in the South as our enemies or opponents. I hope you understand that the Volga Federation has its historical mission and responsibility!

As my personal support for you, as long as you officially announce the withdrawal of the White Guards from the south, the above arms assistance will arrive in Kazan by train within three days. What I want to tell you is that the subsequent re-equipment of the Volga Federal Army will be large-scale.  In the near future, we will be able to assist you with at least several times more Russian artillery than this!
