In fact, after Tsar Nicholas II declared his resignation in the Russian February Revolution of 1917, on March 8, 1917, at the request of Petrograd workers and soldiers, the bourgeois provisional government had to remove Nicholas II.  From March 9 to August 14, 1917, Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov and his family were placed under house arrest in the Alexander Palace in Tsarskoye Selo.  .

The Kerensky government at that time tried to establish a living environment for the royal family that was consistent with royal status. However, due to the government's lack of real power, the ideal could not be implemented.  The provisional government had planned to send them to England for asylum, but the attempt was unsuccessful because they were rejected by King George V of England.

At this time, revolutionary activities were in full swing in Petrograd. The Provisional Parliament was worried about the safety of the imperial prisoners and decided to move them to the interior of Russia.  After a long debate, it was determined that their city of residence was Tobolsk, and the Romanov family moved there.

They were allowed to take away from the palace necessary furniture, personal effects, and attendants who volunteered to accompany and serve them.  On the eve of departure, Kerensky, the Prime Minister of the Provisional Government, and Mikhail Alexandrovich, the brother of the former Tsar, came to visit. The two brothers met and talked for the last time, and they never met again.

Mikhail 6.4 Alexandrovich was sent to Perm and was killed by the local Soviet authorities on the night of June 12-13, 1918. Of course, as the Tsar's uncle, he was a member of the Romanov dynasty.  To the local Soviets, there was no need to accuse someone of being buried alive.

In fact, the Tsar and his family did not stay in Tobolsk for long, and were transferred to Yekaterinaburg. With the advance of Kolchak's White Guards, in Wang Geng's previous life, the Tsar and his family were transferred to Yekaterinburg on July 16, 1917.  He was killed on the 18th. In fact, at this time and space, Dzerzhinsky's Cheka moved the Tsar's family to the west of the Ural Mountains one day before the White Guards invaded Yekaterinburg.

At this time, the Tsar's family was placed in a residence on the outskirts of Kovrov, west of Nizhny Novgorod, under strict supervision by the Cheka, and was temporarily used as a useful bargaining chip to save their lives.

Kovrov (Russian: ko§Ópo?0?7§Ó, English: kovrov) is a city in the central European region of Russia.  It is the second largest city in Vladimir Province, Russia, 50 kilometers away from Moscow, on the banks of the Klyazma River, a tributary of the Oka River.  It has a mild continental climate and is located in a fertile black soil zone of mixed forest and grassland.

Kovrov appears in historical records in the twelfth century and was founded in 1778.  river port.  Railway station.  The cotton textile industry has developed since the 18th century.  Mechanical manufacturing is also important. It is famous for the production of excavators, automatic sock knitting machines and scales.  There is the Museum of Ancient Architecture and Art.  It is located on the Moscow-Nizhny Novosti railway, and there is also a railway connection to Murom.

The province of Vladimir first became the Grand Duchy of Vladimir. From the second half of the 12th century to the beginning of the 13th century, the Grand Duchy of Vladimir was the largest economic, political and cultural center of ancient Russia.  The transfer of the political center of Russia to Vladimir had an important impact on the formation of the Russian nation and the Russian state.  In 1238, a massive Mongol-Tatar invasion destroyed the economic and political influence of Vladimir-Suzdal principality.

The culture of the Grand Duchy of Vladimir left a deep imprint on the history of the entire Northeastern Rus'.  The Vladimir School of Architecture had an important influence on stone architecture in Moscow and other Russian cities.  The architectural remains of Vladimir-Suzdal built in the 12th-13th century include the Dormition Cathedral, the Dmitriev Church, the Golden Gate, and the Church of Our Lady of the Nyery Estuary.

Vladimir Province was founded in 1778 and was transformed into a governor-general in the same year, with 14 counties under its jurisdiction.  Vladimir is one of the most industrially developed provinces in the European part of Russia.  Vladimir Province began to develop the textile industry in the 17th century and opened the first ironworks.  From the second half of the 18th century, glassware factories were opened.  Most industrial enterprises are located in villages, towns and suburbs.

In the 19th century, Vladimir Province was one of the centers of the textile industry, with 31% of Russia¡¯s cotton textiles produced here.  Handicrafts, including the production of icons (Shua, Paleh, Mstela) gained great popularity.  The fame of Vladimir and Suzdal plasterers, Pokrov and Gorokhovets carpenters spread throughout Russia.

Dzerzhinsky's Cheka settled the Tsar and his family in Kovrov. The main reason was that it was relatively quiet and had good cultural traditions. The torrent of the October Revolution did not spread here. It was also a railway hub for people traveling to and from Moscow.  and Nizhny Novgorod are very convenient.

"Nicholas II is a very dangerous enemy of the Soviet Union, Felix Edmundovich, I hope your suggestion is well thought out, why not please tell me your reasons?" Uri, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Soviet Union  Yanov broke the brief silence in the conference room and stared at Dzerzhinsky, the Cheka Chairman, seriously.

    July 25, 1918 19:00??Skok Kremlin

"Vladimir Ilyich, fellow members of the Central Committee, precisely because Tsar Nicholas II is the most dangerous enemy of the Soviet Union, I think that we have been letting the Tsar and his family stay with us, which is doing both harm and not good. Now look at the time when we were here  It may not be a wise move to save the lives of the Tsar and his family after the drastic changes in January, so I suggested to the Central Committee that we should get the Tsar out of our control as soon as possible. It would be best if we could get something back from the Allied Powers!"

Cheka Chairman Dzerzhinsky spoke his thoughts unhurriedly. Although the reasons were popular and nothing special, it was obvious that since the Tsar's gold fell into the hands of Kolchak, then these  The owner of the gold, the last tsar of the Romanlov dynasty, still had some hope, both emotionally and rationally, of being able to claim ownership of the gold.

"Felix Edmundovich, I think you are fanciful. The Cheka should have completely eliminated Tsar Nicholas II, the executioner of the people, physically and mentally, long ago, instead of letting them survive until now.  Now that the food supply in Russia is so tight, the troops in Nizhny Novgorod are almost out of food. How about you actually settle the Tsar in the picturesque place of Kovmov with good food and good hospitality?  Live!¡±

Bukharin, member of the Central Committee of the Soviet Union, Propaganda Commissar of the People's Commissariat of Soviet Russia, and editor-in-chief of Pravda, the central organ of the Soviet Union, waved his arms and shouted, pointing the finger at Dzerzhinsky's tenderness and appeasement of the tsarist family. This guy  The chattering started.
