Boris Mikhailovich Shaposhnikov was born in Chelyabinsk in 1882. He began his military service in the Russian army in 1901 and later graduated from the Moscow Military School (1903) and the General Staff Military Academy (  1910), this man once held command and staff positions in the Turkestan Military District and the Warsaw Military District of Tsarist Russia.  He participated in all the battles between Tsarist Russia and Germany and Austria in the European War. He served as colonel commander in October 1917. In December 1917, he was elected commander of the division at the Congress of Representatives of the Revolutionary Military Committee of the Caucasus Grenadier Division.

Of course, the ensuing wave of demobilization of the Tsarist Russian army caused Shaposhnikov to lose his position as division commander and instead joined the Supreme Military Council of the Soviet Union as a staff officer.

After the formation of the Soviet Red Army, Shaposhnikov first worked for a period of time in the fortification troops in Petersburg. Later, he was sent to the reorganized Soviet Fifth Army as chief of staff. This guy was Sverdlov's replacement.  A close confidant of the Fifth Army. Although he was born in the Tsarist Russian army, as a former Tsarist Russian general who is a military expert, this guy won the trust of Trotsky, the chairman of the Soviet Supreme Military Council, and also won the trust of Vice Chairman Sverdlov.  recognition.

"Boris Mikhailovich, if Kolchak's main force only reached Shmerlia, how can we explain that Alatri also lost contact this evening? That place is far away from Shmerlia in the north.  There is at least more than 70 kilometers to go. Kolchak is a pure cavalry force. How is this possible?" Chernavin, the chief of staff of the front army, shook his head and expressed his disapproval.  Husband¡¯s judgment.

"Comrades! I'll discuss things in the south later! Let him sort out this mess in the north first. If the information provided by Moscow is reliable, I mean that the Volga Federation did not collude with Kolchak.  If the trap is prepared and asked to escape, then the enemy in Cheboksary will be at most five divisions. We must first figure out the deployment and tactics of the White Guards in the north, and then consider the south! "Voroshilov!  Frowning, I feel that this combat meeting is a bit unrealistic. I can slide my feet on the watermelon rind wherever I want, so I ask everyone to solve the problem in the north first!

"I agree with this. Kliment Yefremovich is right. Now that Mikhail Nikolayevich Tukhachevsky has returned to the army, the 1st Army  It¡¯s not like they are leaderless. Even if the enemy reaches Shmeliyar or even Alatri, which is still 120 kilometers away from Sarask, Kolchak won¡¯t be able to get there within 24 hours even if he doesn¡¯t eat or drink.  ! We still have time! The top priority is to formulate a strategy to attack the enemies on the northern front!"

The commander of the Third Army Berzin unexpectedly agreed with Voroshilov's statement, dropped the red and blue pencils in his hands and walked back to his seat. As he did this, the tense and solidified atmosphere in the entire war room was  It was a little loose. The military and political commissar Kamenev looked at it and nodded secretly, thinking to himself that although Karl Ivanovich Berzin has a bad temper, the enemy's current calm and composed general demeanor is still quite impressive.  People appreciate it.

"Kliment Yefremovich, if the enemy on the northern front only has five divisions, I judge that their main force should stay in Cheboksary, and Yadlin is the bridgehead to defend Cheboksary. As for  I think the enemies of Reskovo and Kostovo have less than 2 divisions at most. They should set up two divisions in Cheboksary and one division in Yadlin, and focus on defending the Sula River.  The railway bridge is more believable if arranged in this way!¡±

Fifth Army Commander Kamenev stepped forward and used red and blue pencils to draw circles in the four places of Cheboksary, Yadlin, Reskovo and Kostovo, and marked the troop numbers. Here  Berzin shook his head and said,

"Sergey Sergeyevich, I think it is unreasonable for the White Guards to allocate their troops like this. According to the latest judgment and analysis, the enemy west of Yadlin should not exceed one and a half divisions. The cavalry detachment is in Resko.  If Wo discovers that the enemy has a brigade, then in Kostovo, the enemy should not have more than one brigade, or even a regiment! And in Yadlin, the enemy should have at least one division. This is reasonable!"  Jin sat in his seat and shook his head.

Kamenev pondered for a moment, nodded and said, "Karl Ivanovich, what you said makes sense. Unless the White Guards are crazy, the opponent should have a pyramid structure. His troops guarding the rear will definitely not be better than  The vanguard force is small. If the cavalry detachment indeed found only one enemy infantry brigade in Rescovo, then south of the town of Rescovo, the enemy was just using 2 armored detachments and 4 artillery companies to bluff, and the opponent's ground troops  There won¡¯t be more than one brigade, maybe even one regiment!¡±

"The situation is all clear. After this analysis, we were really fooled by the White Guards before. The other party's former enemy commander was not simple. He actually dared to attack us.The two armies of Nizhny Novgorod staged such an empty city strategy in front of them. My idea is this. We should seize the time and use the strategy to our advantage. The front-line troops in Kostovo Town will not move for the time being to attract the other side, and the other two divisions will be deployed from the flanks to make a detour.  , he surrounded and devoured the opponent's vanguard. What do you think?  "

Voroshilov, the deputy commander of the front army and the former commander-in-chief of the enemy, waved his fist. Apparently, after being tricked by the White Guards' empty city plan, the Soviet Red Army immediately regained the ground and devoured the opponent's feigned attack.  , This will greatly save the face of the Volga Front and effectively damage the opponent's morale, making a good start for the next counterattack along the northern line to recapture Cheboksary.

"Kliment Yefremovich has a good idea. This group of White Guards is so abominable. They must be surrounded and annihilated cleanly. However, our main force is on the defense line of Nizhny Novgorod city. There are only  If the two brigades of the 2nd Infantry Division of the Third Army were to deploy two more divisions to detour from the flanks, would it be too late? If the opponent retreated by train, they would have three hours to run back to Cheboksary.  !" Kamenev, the political commissar of the front army, said from the side.

"Karl Ivanovich, what do you think? Let's counterattack on the northern front and eat up the enemy's troops that rushed into Kostvo as soon as possible. We will teach the opponent a lesson!" Voroshilo said  The husband looked at Berzin hopefully and asked.

Berzin whispered a few words to his chief of staff Merzheninov, stood up and walked back to the battle map, picked up the red and blue pencils and pointed at the line of Kostovo,
