Itagaki Seishiro pretended to accept Yegorov's suggestions, but in fact he wanted to avoid being laughed at or looked down upon by his Japanese colleagues in the West Route Army and the Center Route Army in the future. Most of the generals present looked down upon this little plan.  Come out, how could Lieutenant General Shiba Goro, who is the division commander, not know about it.

The former enemy commander-in-chief thought about it, nodded slightly, and agreed to Itagaki Seishiro's revised campaign plan, but only asked,

"Itagaki-kun, I will report this modification plan to the Southwest Front Army Headquarters and the Allied Forces General Headquarters as soon as possible. If the front army approves it, I don't think it will be a big problem for the Commander-in-Chief. Of course, we will use an extra federal division to invest in the Third Army.  Fighting on the front line, we must get their understanding!¡±

"Hai!" The young Chief of Staff of the East Route Army, the young Itagaki Seishiro Osaka, stood at attention, and the revised plan of the East Route Army's Ukrainian campaign was decided!

July 28, 1918 9:30 Relisk? Former enemy headquarters of the Allied Southwest Front West Route Army

In the Western Route Army combat plan for the Ukrainian campaign originally formulated by the Allied Forces Command under the leadership of Shunroku Hata, Lieutenant General Fujii's 7th Division will be the main force, and the 1st Armored Regiment of the 9th Division of the Chinese participating army Li Mingzhong will be attached to the 7th  In addition, the 7th Federal Infantry Division of Lieutenant General Slavin's Kursk Group Army was assigned to the battle at the same time, and the other two 8th and 9th Divisions of the Kursk Group Army served as the reserves of the Western Route Army.

The former enemy commander-in-chief of the West Route Army was Lieutenant General Fujii Yukitsuchi of the Seventh Division, the chief of staff was Colonel Ishihara Kanji, and the deputy commander and deputy chief of staff was Lieutenant General Slavin. The total strength of the West Route Army was also more than 60,000.  people, and the front line numbered more than 40,000.

The initial mission of the Western Route Army is to use Relsk as the battle assembly point. After the battle is launched, it breaks through the Ukrainian border defense line. The first step is to capture Glukhov, and then go straight to Kiev, the most important town in Ukraine in the southwest!

According to the plan, the Western Route Army will launch its attack one to two days later than the Central Route Army. The purpose is to give Kiev's enemies enough time and confidence to go east to aid Kharkov. If the opponent's reinforcements are transported by train, they will be transported from Kiev  It is about 400 kilometers to Kharkov, and the other party can get reinforcements there in one day.

At that time, the Western Route Army will go straight to Kiev. However, most of the 270 kilometers from Glukhov to Kiev are roads and there are no railways. Therefore, it was originally expected that the Western Route Army would not advance too fast. However, this is also the time of the attack.  A time difference is required. If the West Route Army advances too quickly and besieges Kiev from the beginning, then the Central Route Army's plan to besiege Kharkov and provide reinforcements will come to nothing.

As mentioned before, since Taro Utsunomiya, commander of the Allied Southwest Front, was personally in charge of the Central Army attacking Kharkov, this objectively caused the ammunition and logistical support capabilities of the West Army, which had the farthest assembly point and the latest launch of the campaign, to be hampered.  The Central Route Army misappropriated and squeezed out at least one-third of the army. This made the Central Route Army the first to complete the assembly preparations among the three armies of the Southwest Front and the most abundant ammunition and material reserves.

In terms of campaign gathering and preparations, Shibagoro's East Route Army lags behind Oba Jiro's Middle Route Army, which is under the command of Taro Utsunomiya and Shunroku Hata, while the West Route Army under the command of Fujii Yukitsuki is better than the East Route Army.  The preparations are still one day behind.

"Gentlemen! I have just received a telegram from the logistics of the Allied Forces Headquarters. Since the preparations for the Central Route Army are in place, the railway and road transportation capacity of the West Route Army will be restored to normal starting this afternoon, which means that after a day and a half,  By the time, our West Route Army¡¯s ammunition reserve and material hoarding work has been basically completed, just in time to complete all campaign preparations before the originally scheduled July 31st!¡±

Colonel Ishihara Kanji, the chief of staff of the West Route Army, looked excited. The logistics capacity problem that had been bothering him for several days was finally solved. Of course, this was an unspeakable hardship for the West Route Army. The goal of the Central Route Army was  In Kharkov, the commander of the front, General Utsunomiya, was personally in charge. The third division's interception of the seventh division's logistics supplies and wagons would not win no matter how hard it was fought.

Before Ishihara Wanji finished speaking, Army Major General Kunisi Wuqi, commander of the 13th Infantry Brigade of the Japanese 7th Infantry Division, stepped forward and said, "Chief of Staff Ishihara, if the Central Route Army hadn't embezzled and appropriated our transport wagons, how could we have done so?"  It takes one and a half days behind the Central Route Army to complete the battle preparations. I suggest that the West Route Army's battle plan be revised. Since we fell behind during the preparation period, we can no longer lag behind others in launching the campaign! "

Kunisi Ohchichi was born on June 24, 1870. He was also from Yamaguchi Prefecture. He was the fifth son of Yuri Matsuoka and was adopted as the adopted son of Army Major General Kunji Junmasa.  Dropped out of Yamaguchi High School and graduated from Seijo School.

In July 1894 (Meiji 27), he graduated from the Army Sergeant School (5th class). This guy actually became the chief of the infantry section of the Sergeant School.  In September of the same year, he was awarded the rank of second lieutenant of the foot soldiers and served as the commander of the 2nd company of the foot soldiers of the Guards.  Participated in the Sino-Japanese War of 1895 from April to November.  In November 1901 (Meiji 34), the top student of the 15th class of the Army University's saber class.Career.

From April 1903 (Meiji 36) to April of the following year, he was sent to Germany.  In June 1904 (Meiji 37), the Zhuzhou Army Staff (Army Station) participated in the Russo-Japanese War.  In April 1905 (Meiji 38), he was promoted to infantry major and served as staff officer of the 10th Division.

From February 1906 (Meiji 39) to December 1908 (Meiji 41), he continued to serve as the military attache stationed in Germany.  After returning to Japan, he served as commander of the 3rd Guards Infantry Regiment. In November 1909 (Meiji 42), he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and served as commander of the 42nd Infantry Regiment.  In February 1912 (Meiji 45), he was promoted to Army Toyama School Instructor and Army Infantry School Education Director. In August 1913 (Taisho 2), he was promoted to Infantry Colonel

In August 1915 (Taisho 4), he served as the captain of the 23rd Infantry Regiment. In January 1918 (Taisho 7), he was promoted to Army Major General and served as the commander of the 13th Infantry Brigade of the 7th Infantry Division of Japan.

The 48-year-old major general brigade commander can be regarded as a young man in the Japanese Army. Many people are stuck at the rank of colonel throughout their lives. When he was in the Japanese Army Non-commissioned Officer School, Wu Qi was the chief graduate of the infantry department. When he arrived in the 15th phase of the Mainland University  Although he didn't become a saber chief when he graduated, he was still a top student in the saber group. He could be regarded as a general of Japan's 7th Division, and his future was limitless.

As a fellow from Yamaguchi Prefecture, Kunisi Goshichi was a treasure poached by the 7th Division Commander Fujii Yukitsuchi from the 6th Division Infantry 23rd Regiment Captain before the war began. Of course, the olive branch was to let Kunji Goshichi serve as the Infantry Regiment.  As the brigade commander of the 13th Brigade, since he could jump from the captain to the brigade commander, there was no reason for Guo Si Wu Qi to refuse.
