The Amiens-Marne summer offensive launched by the Allied Powers lasted for nearly a month. The Allied tanks broke through the German first and second line positions, but were trapped by the crisscrossing anti-tank trenches between the German second and third line positions.  Unable to move, the infantry accompanying the attack were simply isolated by the German artillery fire and unable to advance in front of the second line position.

The nearly 2 million main forces of both sides fought fiercely in Amiens and the Marne. The German heavy artillery always had a partial advantage. This advantage offset the slight advantage of the Allied Air Force and was still rich. Ludendorff's reserve force was far greater than that of the Allied Powers.  General Foch had more, and Germany, as the defensive side, was fighting on the inside. The developed railway networks in France and Belgium allowed the German troops to mobilize quickly and efficiently in both directions.

The summer offensive launched by the Allies was considered to be a wrong offensive launched at the wrong time. When the battle subsided at the end of June, the Allies returned to their previous starting positions. The British army lost 210,000 and the French army lost 210,000.  The casualties amounted to 270,000, while the casualties of the German and Austrian troops on the opposite side were approximately 320,000. What is even more terrible is that the Allies lost about half of their heavy artillery and almost all of the nearly 1,000 tanks that were put into the battlefield.

If the First Army of the American Expeditionary Force had not blocked Ludendorff's counterattack, the Allied front could hardly be maintained. As for the air force, the two sides were evenly matched. The number of aircraft shot down by the Allied Powers was about the same as that of the Germans. In other words, the Allied Powers' air superiority was eliminated.  were suppressed by the outnumbered Luftwaffe.

The disastrous failure of the Allied Summer Offensive made the atmosphere on the Western Front even more tense. While both sides paused to lick their wounds, they invariably turned their attention back to Russia's Eastern Front. On the Western Front, the Allied Powers, Britain, France, Germany and Austria were each licking their wounds.  When Wound focused his gaze on Russia's Eastern Front.

Who would have thought that the Eastern Front Allied Forces of the Allied Powers, mainly composed of Chinese and Japanese coalition forces, would actually create such a huge momentum and situation on the Ufa Plain in July 1918?

The intelligence work of the German General Staff and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs worldwide is efficient and accurate. In the view of Ludendorff and Hindenburg, the vast land east of the Ural Mountains from Vladivostok to Chelyabinsk should be enough.  It will satisfy the appetite of China and Japan for the external expansion of the East Asian strategic alliance, and it will also cause indigestion!

But who would have thought that the King of China, leading the Eastern Front Allied Forces of the Allied Powers consisting of only 3 Chinese divisions and 3 Japanese divisions, would actually drive several second-line infantry divisions and volunteers of the Ufa White Guards to march from Ufa in one go.  Drive the main force of the Soviet Red Army across the Volga River?  As for the Battle of Ufa, which was personally commanded by the King of China, the result was so exaggerated that it wiped out nearly 300,000 of the opponent's main forces and suffered less than 20,000 casualties?

In fact, there were disagreements within the German High Command at that time. The focus was on whether to continue to vigorously support and arm the Soviet Russian regime and let the Soviet Red Army delay or even defeat the Allied Eastern Front forces led by the King of China, or to directly abandon the Soviet Russian regime.  , and instead reached a tacit agreement with the Sino-Japanese Alliance. After the two sides carved up the Soviet Union and Russia, each side guarded the border and lived in peace?

Of course, for the German-Austrian Allies, this second option was nothing more than a temporary measure, because of the new governments of Finland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, which were actually supported by the German-Austrian Allies.  Satellite states have been established, and when the time comes, these nominally neutral slave states will be able to involve the hands and feet of the Sino-Japanese alliance.

The Western Front is the key to determining the outcome of this war. Of course, for Germany led by Hindenburg and Ludendorff, if a glorious armistice can be achieved based on the current demarcation line between the two sides, there will undoubtedly be a victory for the Allies.  Moreover, the losses of Germany's overseas colonies were far less than the benefits gained from the addition of the European slave countries that had obtained the above-mentioned new powers.

No matter from the perspective of population, resources or geopolitics, with the current border armistice, Germany will become the biggest winner on the European continent. Tsarist Russia has almost been divided into pieces, while France has suffered the most losses and the least gains.  The losses of the British Army should be compensated from overseas colonies. As for the United States, it is the Allied Powers, not Germany and Austria, that owe the United States huge amounts of arms aid and loans!

If he can seize the opportunity of single-line operations and devote all his main forces to the Western Front, Ludendorff is confident that he will inflict heavy losses on the British and French troops on the Western Front in the new 1918 Autumn Offensive scheduled to be launched in mid-to-early August. If the attack goes well,  , there is no chance of even attacking Paris. Of course, a better result would be to severely repair the increasingly large US military on the French battlefield. If the US military suffers huge casualties and prisoners of war on the front line, then,  How President Wilson dealt with isolationism in the United States was still a huge challenge.

"My dear Paul, the situation on the Eastern Front is indeed a bit beyond my imagination. The King of China simply does not follow the rules at all. I also wonder how he passed 7,500 kilometers."The railway line ensures the supply of logistics materials, arms and ammunition to the Allied Forces on the Eastern Front. Under normal circumstances, even our elite German troops will need 1  , 2 months for rest and replenishment!  "

Ludendorff lit the cigarette in his hand and frowned. It was obvious that he was a little embarrassed by the Marshal's slightly dissatisfied mood and didn't know how to explain it.

"Erich, my Chief of Staff, are you sure that our 10th Army stationed in Ukraine and the Ukrainian National Army can stop the Chinese? In my opinion, Simon Petlyura's Ukrainian National Army  The main force of the army does not exceed 3 divisions at most, and the combat effectiveness of the other newly formed troops is inferior to that of the Soviet Red Army. Now think about it, we repatriated those 900,000 Tsarist Russian prisoners of war back to Ulyanov to form the Soviet Red Army.  It¡¯s not worth it!¡±

Hindenburg held up a pipe, his beard was trimmed meticulously, and there was already a little sweat on his bald forehead. In front of the 53-year-old Ludendorff, his deputy, the nominal supreme leader of Germany appeared as an elder and a bole.  There was a trace of worry in his eyes at this moment.

"Paul, when the Allied Powers formed the Eastern Front Allied Forces, it was clear that they wanted us to return to the unfavorable situation of fighting on two fronts. The King of China has now supported the Volga Federation and occupied so many places in one go. Even Denikin has  The White Guards from the Don River and the North Caucasus defected to the Volga Federation. Their territory and population expanded so quickly in such a short period of time. From my perspective, just solving the food problem is enough for him, so I judge that the coalition will take over Ukraine in the short term.  This is impossible!"
