According to Yamashita Fengfumi, the cavalry unit uses mobility to harass and destroy the enemy's logistics transportation lines as the best combat direction. The second is to attack the enemy's flanks with a quick and decisive advance through flanking detours. How can they follow the steps and attract the enemy with arrogance and stupidity?  How about using the firepower to attack the enemy's fortified city head-on?  This is definitely the last resort!

"Yamashita-kun, although what you said is right, Kharkov is the focus of our center route army's attack. At this time, under the guise of finding a suitable crossing point, the main force of the cavalry regiment was transferred to the northwest to occupy Bo  Rodukshiv City, I cannot agree. If something happens in Kharkov and we do not have enough troops to cope with it, then I will be the captain of the regiment in front of the commander of the Grand Court Division" ",

Captain Yonezawa Kogoro frowned and clasped his hands behind his back, walking around the wing headquarters tent for a long time. Finally, he shook his head, not daring to take risks, or in other words, not daring to agree to a trick like Yamashita Tomoebu.  Fa, this is not like the mountain king going up to the mountains to become a bandit, picking wealthy cottages to attack sheep or something. After all, the 4th Cavalry Regiment is the mobile detour unit of the 3rd Division. Even if it detours back to the south of the city, it will be difficult to deal with it alone.  If so, you can't just run away in a high-sounding way, right?

"Your Excellency, Captain, we should be more proactive by going upstream to find suitable ferries and bridges to cross the Lopan River than waiting for engineers to build a bridge here. The equipment for building a bridge is not ready yet. I think  It¡¯s impossible to build a bridge here without 2 to 3 hours. With this time, we can already capture the city of Porodukshiv by heading north. Then we can take a rest and turn back again without missing the important event from the other side of the Lopan River!  There is an existing road from Rodukshiv to Kharkov, so marching is much easier than here!" Yamashita Fengwen shouted anxiously.  §êw§ë""Look

"What you said is an ideal situation. I can't let the main force of the alliance take such a big risk. Under the city of Kharkiv, even if we build the bridge slower and the materials are not enough, can we still demolish the houses in the nearby villages?  Anyway, all the common people have fled out of ten houses and nine empty houses. Kharkiv Oblast was formerly occupied by the Ukrainian Soviet government. The landlords and rich peasants in the villages were basically wiped out. We just collected wood and demolished the well-built houses.  It will not violate the "Three Major Disciplines and Nine Points of Attention". Once the main force of the regiment is far away from the city of Kharkov, and there are new orders from the division commander, what troops will I use to implement them? "

The captain of the regiment, Kogoro Yonezawa, was also a little anxious. After all, this guy was the captain of the Yamashita regiment. If he hadn't been attached to Yamashita's regiment, there would be no need to spend so much energy talking to Yamashita Tofumi and just reprimand him.  A big-head slapped him, and as a cavalry captain attached to the regiment, he had to keep nodding and shouting "Hai" to get beaten.

"In that case Commander of the regiment, give me a cavalry brigade. I only need the strength of one brigade to go up the river and capture the city of Porodukshiv for the regiment. Then I will build up the momentum and defend Kharkov.  The attack out of sight of the army will definitely give the opponent a greater illusion, thinking that more troops have joined the attack. Moreover, after I capture the city of Borodukshiv, I will definitely rush back to Kazakhstan before evening at the latest.  We will meet up with the main force of the regiment under your command southwest of Erkov This will ensure that nothing goes wrong"

Feng Wenka at the foot of the mountain stood at attention, raised his chest and nodded, and said decisively:

"Your Excellency, Captain, please agree to my request. The 4th Cavalry Regiment must use flexible tactics to confuse the enemy's ears and eyes. If you just follow the steps, it will be difficult to attract the enemy's attention. As for the siege,  , Your Excellency, Captain, before my troops rejoin you, I suggest that we try to avoid any situation of siege. We are cavalry, the main force of mobile troops, not cannon fodder troops attacking trench positions!"

Yonezawa glanced at Yamashita Fengfumi in embarrassment, sighed softly, waved his hand and said, "That's fine Then I'll hand over Major Iida's 10th Cavalry Brigade to you! No more troops will be gone  You pick a few staff officers and bring them to the radio. Be sure to remember one thing. Even if you don't take the city of Borodukshiv, there is no problem. Find a place to cross the river from the upper reaches. You must rush back to the southwest of Kharkov and the main force of the regiment before evening.  Meet!"

"Hai! Don't worry, captain! I, Yamashita, will definitely live up to your expectations, so I will lead Major Iida's 10th Cavalry Brigade. I will not only capture the city of Borodukshiv, but also the northwest of Kharkov."  Turning the world upside down will definitely reduce the pressure on the main force of the regiment and make the Kharkov defenders dare not act rashly!" Yamashita expressed his enthusiasm.

"I don't ask you and the 10th Cavalry Brigade to destroy how many enemies and how many trophies are captured. The first factor is to preserve combat power, cross the river in time and rush back to the southwest of Kharkov. I don't want the next telegram from the commander of the Grand Court Division.  At that time, Yamashita and the Sakata brigade didn¡¯t know where to fight the grass valley! Do you understand?¡± Yonezawa Kogoro said.

At onceIn this way, the 4th Cavalry Regiment of the Japanese 3rd Division, which was active in the west of Kharkov, began to quietly divide its forces while the Mutoh Brigade on the east line was still crossing the river. The 11th and 12th Cavalry Brigades and the Cavalry Regiment  The 4th Artillery Battalion still stayed in place, cooperating with the engineers to organize river-crossing equipment and prepare to build a bridge to cross the river. The regiment's attached Cavalry Captain Yamashita Fengfumi, together with the Captain of the 10th Cavalry Battalion, Major Iida Sadugu, commanded the 10th Cavalry Battalion.  More than a thousand cavalry broke out of camp and headed south, up the river and headed straight for the city of Borodukshiv.

"Yamashita-kunthis time I attack, I, Iida's 10th Cavalry Brigade, will obey your lead and will not retreat until Loulan is defeated!" Riding alongside Yamashita Fengfumi was Iida, the captain of the 10th Brigade, the main force of the 4th Cavalry Regiment.  Tian Shaozuo, his 10th Cavalry Battalion is also called the Iida Battalion. The Japanese Army has a tradition of using the name of the unit commander as the abbreviation of the unit. The 10th Cavalry Battalion is called the Iida Battalion in the 4th Cavalry Regiment.
