The 4th Cavalry Regiment, Yamashita Tomofumi, was just a captain at the moment, but in the morning, he commanded the 10th Cavalry Battalion of Iida Sadagu to make a surprise attack to the northwest and captured the northwest of the important town of Kharkov.  Porodukshiv was forty kilometers away. Moreover, after this guy captured Porodukshiv with almost no shot, he only rested for half an hour and then led the main force of the 10th Cavalry Brigade back without stopping.  Although the men and horses were dripping with sweat and exhausted, their energy was obviously higher than that of the main force of the cavalry regiment, which had been struggling all morning to build bridges to cross the river and fight on the muddy floodplain

Although they returned to the southwest of Kharkov as scheduled and crossed the Yudi and Lopan rivers, the return of Yamashita Fengwen also boosted morale. Although the loot brought back by dozens of carts was not much, it made the cavalry  Thousands of cavalrymen of the 4th Regiment had a lunch of beef and potato soup. Speaking of which, the cavalry troops had horses that were killed or exhausted all day long and were turned into vegetables. However, the taste of horse meat was not good for the cavalrymen.  It's a very rough thing for us to swallow

After Yonezawa Kogoro's two tentative attacks on the German defense lines in the southern city were frustrated, he refused to continue using cavalry to attack the city directly, so he chose to go further south and cut off the railway line. Unexpectedly, the Germans  Two armored trains equipped with heavy artillery, anti-aircraft anti-aircraft guns, and mg08 machine guns were arranged on the railway line to patrol back and forth. The 11th Cavalry Brigade was almost isolated by the opponent and unable to retreat to the east of the railway line

"Your Excellency, Wing Commander, the heavy artillery on the German armored trains is of 105mm and 150mm caliber. Our cavalry artillery brigade is only equipped with 75mm mountain field guns. How can it defeat the opponent? Didn't you see that even the fighter planes of the Allied Air Force were attacked?  Did you shoot down and injure one of them? We are cavalry. Without heavy artillery, who can deal with the enemy's armored train?" It was Major Hisao Nishio, the captain of the 11th Cavalry Battalion, who butted his head with an unconvinced look on his face.  .

Nishio Juzo was the adopted son of Nishio Kotaro, the fourth son of Nishio Juzo, a native of Tottori Prefecture.

Nishio Juzo graduated from Tottori Junior High School (now Tottori Prefectural Tottori Nishi High School).  On November 22, 1902, he graduated from the 14th Cavalry Section of the Army Sergeant School (ranked 23rd out of 702 people). On June 26 of the following year, he was awarded the rank of Second Lieutenant of the Cavalry and was attached to the 4th Cavalry Regiment.  Participated in the Russo-Japanese War (and was wounded in the Battle of Shahe).  Adjutant of the 4th Cavalry Regiment, attached to Lu Shisheng's disciples.  Graduated from the 22nd class of Army University on November 29, 1910 (2nd among 51 people).  Nishio Hisao, who graduated with honors in the 22nd class of Mainland University, is undoubtedly an outstanding guy, and he is also a man of character.

After graduating from the Mainland University, Hisao Nishio served as a lecturer at the Military Affairs Bureau of the Army Province, and studied military affairs in Germany. He was a member of the General Staff Headquarters, an instructor at the Mainland University, secretary to the Minister of the Army and adjutant of the Army Ministry, attached to the 10th Infantry Regiment, and an instructor at the Mainland University.  In Wang Geng's previous life, Nishio Hisao served as captain of the 4th Cavalry Regiment and first section chief of the Education Directorate. On August 1, 1929, he was promoted to Army Major General.

Nishio Juzo never went to the Army Infantry School. He was admitted to the Army Corps after graduating from Tottori Middle School.  After graduating in 1903, Mr. Riku returned to his hometown of Tottori Prefecture and served in the 40th Infantry Regiment.  Due to his good grades upon graduation, Hisao Nishio was appointed as the flag bearer of the league.  Being a flag bearer is very majestic, and you can always be noticed by being next to the co-captain.  During the Russo-Japanese War, Nishio Hisao went out with the 40th Regiment and was injured in his foot during the Battle of Shahe.  When Nishio Hisao graduated from Riku University, he ranked second among 51 people in the same period, beaten by Shunroku Hata.

Therefore, Hisoo Nishio missed the opportunity to go on a business trip to China to participate in the war on behalf of the Ministry of War. The chief of the 22nd class of this Army University is Shunroku Hata, who is currently the chief of staff of the Allied Southwest Front and jumped three ranks in a year to become an Army Major General.  Nishio Hisao, the second-ranked man in the 22nd issue of the mainland, is still just a major captain, but this does not hinder the maverick character of Major Nishio, that kind of serious but not superior character, the 20th issue of the mainland  It was obviously not easy for the graduated Colonel Yonezawa to restrain Major Nishio.

"Nishio-kun, please be careful. If your cavalry brigade had organized its attack well just now, under the cover of 8 fighter planes of the Allied Air Force, it is entirely possible to kill a German armored train!"  0 Captain Fengwen Yamashita, the alternate sixth day demon king, had no intention of being a backup at all, so he said abruptly from the side.

July 31, 1918 14:00 In a dense forest on the west side of the railway line five kilometers southwest of Kharkiv, the headquarters of the 4th Japanese Cavalry Regiment

"Tell me! What should we do now? The task given to our regiment by the former enemy headquarters is to cut off the railway line and block the enemy's southward retreat in Kharkov" Captain Yonezawa Kogoro of the 4th Japanese Cavalry Regiment obviously  They were a little confused, running around with their hands behind their backs, and still roaring. Not counting the nearly 300 cavalry lost by the West End Brigade just now, all the mountain artillery squadrons of the Cavalry Artillery Brigade were wiped out, and only half of the two field artillery squadrons were left, and they were carrying  There was less than a base of ammunition leftand the defense line of the German armored trains stood firm.

Iida and Nishio looked at each other in confusion.??led the 10th Cavalry Brigade and followed the regiment attached to Yamashita Fengfumi on a long-distance attack of more than 80 kilometers. At this time, it is not an exaggeration to describe the Iida Brigade as tired and exhausted.  The 11th Brigade, as the vanguard of the Yonezawa United Force, was completely defeated by the sudden appearance of a German armored train during the offensive and defensive battle for the railway line.

The captain of the 12th Cavalry Brigade, Major Koiso Kuniaki, kept his mouth shut and said nothing. Among the three brigades of the 4th Cavalry Regiment, Major Koji's 12th Brigade has always been the rear unit of the regiment.  Major Iso Kuniaki and Nishio Hisao are both graduates of the 22nd batch of the Mainland University, but Nishio is the second honor graduate after the chief of the 22nd batch, Shunroku Hata, while Oiso Kuniaki is among the 51st graduates of the 22nd batch of the Mainland University.  Ranked only 33rd among students.

Dating back to the Rishi period, Koiso Kuniaki's grades were also quite unpretentious. When Koiso graduated from the 12th class of Rishi, his grades were relatively high, ranking 79th out of 655 people, although not as good as Sugiyama Moto during the same period.  It is not easy for Shunroku Hata, but it is not easy for a student who has never been to Luyou Elementary School.  After graduation, he returned to the 30th Infantry Regiment where he had previously served and served as a cadet for half a year before being awarded the rank of second lieutenant.
