"Captain Manstein, you think that the coalition forces are insufficient, so you are so anxious to change your original intention and take the capture of Kharkov as the current first combat goal. But if that is the case, why doesn't the other side just use heavy bombers to destroy Kharkiv?  Wouldn't it be easier to cut off our retreat and eat up our troops gathered in Kharkov if we use the railway line south of Kharkov and the bridges along the way?" said another handsome German captain, 27 or 8 years old.  Can't stop talking.  (144 books!     Everyone in the armored train command car turned to look, but it was the infantry battalion commander who had just entered, the 27-year-old Army Captain Erwin Johannes J¨¹rgen Rommel. Captain Rommel walked quickly to the map.  , after tracing the map with his hand, he raised his head and continued to ask,

"Captain Manstein, you think that the coalition forces are insufficient, so you are so anxious to change your original intention and take the capture of Kharkov as the current first combat goal. But if that is the case, why doesn't the other side just use heavy bombers to destroy Kharkiv?  Wouldn't it be easier to cut off our retreat and eat up our troops gathered in Kharkov if we use the railway line south of Kharkov and the bridges along the way?" The handsome German captain repeated his question.

"Don't you think so? Captain Rommel" Captain von Manstein frowned slightly. Looking at Rommel, who was 4 years younger than him, a trace of dissatisfaction flashed in his heart, but the always elegant Manstein was not satisfied.  Just show your willingness easily.

Although the European War lasted for more than 4 years, because Europe had maintained peace for nearly 30 years before, the aging of German army officers was comparable to that of the French. Although there were a large number of outstanding generals who served during the war,  However, like the 27-year-old Captain Rommel in front of him, he was promoted to captain without ever attending the German Staff College, and during the war he became a member of the Blue Max, the German highest honor medal.  .

He named his son after himself. Rommel Sr.'s father was also a teacher. Both of them grew up as mathematicians.  Famous and quite respected in Heidenheim.

Mother Helena hene is the daughter of Karl von Luz, the regional chief executive of Baden-W¨¹rttemberg.  Although there is no "on" in Rommel's surname, he is still half of the blood of the German aristocracy. Both of Rommel's parents are Protestants.  Rommel had an elder brother, Manfred, a sister, Helena Hene, and brothers, Gerhard and Karl. Among them, Manfred died when he was young.

Rommel was physically weak when he was a child. According to his sister Helena, Rommel was called "Little White Bear" by family members because of his light hair and pale skin. According to a memo included in Rommel's personal records:  "When I was a child, I often played in the spacious courtyard of my home. I was very happy."

Rommel¡¯s father had served in the artillery force when he was young, but other than that, the Rommel family had no connection with the military or any relatives related to it.  In addition, because of the class background of the Rommel family who educated citizens, it was very disadvantageous in the German Imperial Army, which valued aristocratic backgrounds.  In 1898, Rommel's father became the principal of the liberal arts school in Aalen, and the family moved to Aalen.  Since there was no primary school in Aalen, Rommel had to be taught by a tutor before entering secondary school.

Rommel hoped to become an aircraft engineer, but was opposed by his father, who wanted him to join the army of the Kingdom of W¨¹rttemberg. However, Rommel himself was not interested in a military career at the time. Rommel joined the army on July 19, 1910.  The 6th Infantry Company of the Royal W¨¹rttemberg Army "Kaiser Wilhelm I" stationed in Weingarten, the 124th Infantry Company of the Imperial German Army, became a junior officer cadet fahnenjunker.

Rommel often called her "Lucy."  After graduating from the military academy, Rommel often contacted Lucy by letter, and the two married in 1916.

In March 1914, Rommel was transferred to the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment of the Royal W¨¹rttemberg Army, the 49th Field Artillery Regiment of the German Imperial Army, which was stationed in Ulm and belonged to the 27th Infantry Division like the 124th Infantry Regiment.  When World War I broke out, he was transferred back to the 124th Infantry Regiment and served as the commander of the 2nd Battalion of the unit; Rommel was transferred to the Ukrainian battlefield in February 1918 and became the staff officer of the 29th Army.Officer and candidate officer, and then joined the newly established 1st German Duli Armored Detachment in Ukraine in May 1918, serving as the infantry commander of the 2nd Detachment. At the same time, Rommel was also promoted to Army Captain, and in Wang Geng's previous life  , Rommel never had the chance to return to the front line until Germany's defeat in World War I, and it was not until October 18, 1918 that Rommel was promoted to captain.

The 1st Armored Detachment of the German 10th Army Group has two armored trains, each with 16 carriages, 4 of which are heavy machine gun carriages. Each carriage is equipped with 6 mg08 water-cooled heavy machine guns, and there are 8 artillery carriages.  The first carriage and the last carriage are each equipped with a German-made Krupp 150mm heavy howitzer.     Captain Rommel is the commander of the four vehicle-mounted German infantry companies of the 1st and 2nd detachments of the armored train. This former company commander of the mountain camp has commanded several company-sized troops in combat more than once before. Now he is 27 years old.  At the age of 18, he was promoted to an army captain and officially took charge of commanding the four infantry companies of the 1st and 2nd Iron Armored Detachment, which can be regarded as a higher starting point in his military career.
