One of the Demon Guardians - Dickens

Charles, John, Huffam, Dickens (1812-1870), a great British writer in the 19th century, was also a writer who was good at reflecting real life. In his works, he used superb artistic techniques to depict all-encompassing  His works have always shown the edge of exposure and criticism, implemented the humanitarian spirit of punishing evil and promoting good, and created many unforgettable characters.

In his creative career of more than thirty years, he wrote fifteen novels, many short and medium-sized novels, as well as essays, travel notes, current affairs reviews, dramas, poems, etc., making outstanding contributions to British studies and world studies.  His masterpiece "A Tale of Two Cities" has been popular all over the world for many years and is very popular among readers.

Dickens was born in Portsmouth, the second child of Elizabeth Barlow.  When Dickens was 5 years old, his family moved to Chatham, and then to Camden Town (wn, now London) when he was 10 years old.

His father, John Dickens, was imprisoned due to debt problems, and the family moved to a prison cell. Dickens was therefore sent to a shoe shop in London as an apprentice, working 10 hours a day.

Perhaps because of this experience, in which he experienced hardship, humiliation, and witnessed the warmth and coldness of human nature, Dickens's works paid more attention to the living conditions of the lower class.  The novel David Copperfield describes this experience of his own.

However, due to an inheritance, the family's financial situation improved, and he later transferred to a newspaper and became a reporter covering congressional debates.  Dickens did not receive much formal education and was self-taught.

Dickens later became a parliamentary reporter for the Morning Post, specializing in covering policy debates in the British House of Commons. He also often traveled around Britain to cover various election events.

He began to publish chapters in various publications, and eventually collected them and published them as "Notes of Boz", which was his first collection.

But what really made him famous was "The Pickwick Papers" published in 1836.  The book describes the social problems in urban and rural Britain at that time through a series of encounters experienced by Pickwick and three friends while traveling. At the beginning, the book did not attract much attention and only sold 500 copies in the first year.

In the spring of 1837, "The Pickwick Papers" became a hotly debated topic in British society. Pickwick fever appeared in the society. Various Pickwick-related products appeared on the streets of British cities. Finally, the book became the world's most famous novel.  Classic masterpieces of learning.

After that, Dickens published a number of popular novels, including "The Tears of an Orphan", "Nicholas Nickleby" and "The Old Curiosity Shop".

After completing "Barnaby and Larch" in 1841.  Dickens went to the America he longed for.  Although he was warmly welcomed there, Dickens was ultimately disappointed by the New World.

His experiences in the United States were included in his "American Journal" published in 1842.

In 1843, he published the novel "The Stingy God of Mammon" which caused great repercussions. This novel was the first in his Christmas story series.

??Subsequently, he published another novel "Martin, Zhai Shuwei" with his own trip to the United States as the background.

Between 1844 and 1846, Dickens traveled to various continental countries and continued writing during his travels.  In 1849, he published the autobiographical novel "The Record of the Remaining Life of a Piece of Meat".  The content of this novel has a lot to do with Dickens's personal experience.

Dickens¡¯s later novels appear to be more sharp and critical. The more famous ones include "Bleak House", "Hard Times", "Little Dorrit", "A Tale of Two Cities" and "Great Expectations".

In 1850, Dickens founded his own weekly magazine "Family Talk", which included his own novels and those of other writers.

In 1859, another publication, "All Seasons," also began to be published.  Many of Dickens's works were first published in serial form in these two publications.

Dickens was not only a prolific writer, but also an active performer.  He turned public readings into two-hour one-man theater performances, and ks/pies were his preparation records for the performance.

©¤Draw a frame on the original work and select the key points.  Skip the twigs and occasionally add a new joke - for this talented performer, facial expression markers are unnecessary.

Di's reading/playing society began in 1853 and ended in his lifetime.  Over the past ten years he has traveled to both sides of the Atlantic.  The sketchbook is a stage description(s) written by Dickens for himself, which provides a vivid reference for Dickens research and subsequent derivative drama/film creation.

Dickens¡¯s life was one of hard work, heavy labor and disappointment in the reality of reform, which seriously damaged his health.  1870.  Dickens died of a cerebral hemorrhage, and his first detective novel, The Mystery of Edwin and Drood, was not completed when he died.

After his death, he was buried in WestminsterThe Poets' Corner of the temple.  His tombstone reads: He was a sympathizer of the poor, suffering and oppressed people; with his death, the world has lost a great British writer.

His works - "The End of Life", "Great Expectations", "Tears of an Orphan", "Nicholas Nickleby" and "The Stingy God of Fortune" are considered to be some of Dickens's best works, especially the autobiographical novels.  "The Last Life of Meat" is regarded by many as Dickens's masterpiece.

"Little Dorrit" is famous for its acerbic satire.  Most of Dickens's works are his views and criticisms of society.  Dickens was a fierce critic of social class and poverty in Victorian England.

Dickens¡¯s love for drama can be seen from his work "Nicholas Nickleby".  He is also a successful actor and has visited other countries many times for performances.

Dickens¡¯s writing is flashy, as beautiful as poetry, but he often satirizes the British upper class with humor.

Influence on Chinese Studies - Dickens's realist writing views have attracted the attention of many people in China. After reading Dickens's works, Lao She realized that he does not need to care about the constraints of Chinese novel style: just write, don't care; in addition, there is more to learn  The author was inspired by Lin Shu¡¯s translations, in which he came into contact with English and American aesthetics.

The highest manifestation of a mediocre person is a great man, and a great man is just a mediocre person.

Great men usually admire heroes, but heroes may not necessarily look down on great men.

Life is short, and trials are long; what is long is suffering, what is short is life.

The purpose of betting 100,000 (any currency can be) is to win, use the winnings to do more things, and if you lose, do less things.

Passing by a lottery shop, I went in and bought a scratch-off ticket (NT$500). After scratching out a few scratches, the clerk said that the grand prize had been taken away and you still bought it!  I said take all the rest!  I went back to the company to play with it.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? There was really no prize for any of the scratches. (The price of 5,000 words per day for a month of full attendance on the Internet here is 500 yuan). It has been 18 days for this, and the 11 cards that have just been scratched without winning are exceeded.

This is called walking on the road. Keep walking as long as you can. I don¡¯t know why it seems boring to see passers-by and acquaintances who are so busy and walking around!

Maybe they are all similar, they are all the same, just like you have stopped reading the same stories, you are tired of them. If you watch 100 movies of your favorite genre here), if you are really good, you will be tired of them, and you will say the same things.  Degree, sameness and sameness.
