One of the Demon Guardians - Cao Zhi

Cao Zhi (192-232), whose courtesy name was Zijian, was named King Chen and given the posthumous title Si. He was often referred to as King Chen Si and King Chen in later articles.  A native of Qiao County, Peiguo (now Bozhou City, Anhui Province), the fourth son of Cao Cao and the third son of the Bian family. He was a famous poet of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period. He was famous for his talents such as Badou (Eight Dou Talent) and Poetry in Seven Steps.  Its etymology.

His poetry had a great influence on later generations, and his talent was highly praised by later poets. Together with his father Cao Cao and his brother Cao Pi, he was known as the Three Caos. However, unlike his father and brother, Cao Zhi did not hold important military and political positions in his life.

Cao Zhi was the third son of Cao Cao's royal family, Bian, and the younger brother of Cao Pi and Cao Zhang.  Cao Cao once read an article written by Cao Zhi and asked him in surprise: Are you from Ru Qian (did you ask someone to write it for you)?  Cao Zhi replied: I will put my words into practice and write down my writings. I am willing to be interviewed, but I am so beautiful!  .

In the winter of the fifteenth year of Jian'an (210 years), Cao Cao built the Tongque Terrace. The 19-year-old Cao Zhi wrote "Ode to the Tongque Terrace". Cao Cao greatly appreciated it and named him Pingyuan Marquis. He encouraged him and said: I used to be the governor of Dunqiu.  , it was the first time of my twentieth life, and I thought that what I did then was worthy of today.  Now that you have grown up, there is no need to force yourself!  Thinking that he could determine important events, in Cao Cao's later years, Cao Zhi was granted the title of Marquis of Linzi by the Jin Dynasty, and he competed with his eldest brother Cao Pi for the position of heir.  In addition to his high talent, Cao Pi always envied him.

Shortly after Cao Pi came to the throne, he repeatedly tried to kill Cao Zhi, but was stopped by his mother. It is said that Empress Dowager Bian said at that time: You have already killed my King Rencheng (Cao Zhang), and if you try to kill King Chenliu again, I don't want to live.  .  Cao Pi still thought Cao Zhi was drunk and rebellious, threatened the envoy, and demoted him to the title of Marquis of Anxiang.

After Wei Ming Emperor Cao Rui came to the throne, he intended to summon his uncle back to the court, and Cao Zhi even drafted a political strategy, but some courtiers warned Wei Ming Emperor.  Cao Zhi always had great ambitions, but once he achieved his long-cherished wish, he might not be able to serve as a minister. Therefore, in the end of the Ming Dynasty, Cao Zhi still failed to achieve his ambition.

In February of the sixth year of Taihe (232 years), Cao Zhi was transferred to the title of King of Chen. It was the third time in eleven years that he was forced to move the capital. He died of depression in the same year at the age of forty-one.

There is the tomb of Cao Zhi at the western foot of Yushan Mountain, 20 kilometers south of Dong'a County, Shandong Province, northern China.

Cao Zhi was the first person to warn against the Sima family's monopoly.  He was extremely panicked about the loss of power of Emperor Wei Ming.  The above table warns: The Tian clan who takes Qi is not Lu Zong; the Zhao and Wei who divide Jin are not Ji.  Nowadays, the public clans are sparse and the surnames are different, and the ministers are confused.  However, Emperor Wei Ming relied heavily on Sima Yi to resist the challenge of the Shu Han Northern Expedition, and did not take his uncle's advice to heart.

Cao Zhi wrote more than 100 works.  Most of them are five-character poems, which were included in the "Collection of Chen Siwang" by later generations; their works relatively comprehensively reflect the achievements and characteristics of Jian'an.

Cao Zhi was very accomplished in both ancient poetry and Yuefu. The scope of five-character poetry expanded under Cao Zhi's writing, and he wrote about everything.  Jian'an poetry came out of Yuefu and gradually became literati. In the hands of Cao Zhi, it clearly had the appearance of literati poetry.

Due to the favorable circumstances in Cao Zhi¡¯s early period, his poems were full of high spirits.  The tone is cheerful and bold.  The work has more than enough elegance, but not enough flesh and blood.

In the later period, his ambition was thwarted, he was suppressed and persecuted, and his poetic style turned to sadness and anger.  Being generous and unfair shows resentment towards the oppressors and a strong spirit of demanding liberation.

Cao Zhi¡¯s works are of extremely high character, and he constantly pursued the ideal of making contributions throughout his life.  He is good at creating a full, vigorous, yet magnificent and majestic image.  It expresses generous and tragic feelings, depression and frustration, and a mixture of sorrow and indignation.

Cao Zhi¡¯s poems are rich in brilliance, good at linking words, and his descriptions are profound and delicate.  In terms of technique, Cao Zhi pays attention to antithesis and sound and color, and is a master of antithesis. The antithesis becomes more and more precise. He is good at using rich metaphors, is good at supporting things to make things interesting, pays attention to momentum when starting the tone, and is good at using aphorisms to drive the whole story.

The main works©¤"Giving a White Horse to Wang Biao", "White Horse Chapter", "Famous Capital Chapter", "Beauty Chapter", "Kong Hou Yin", "Seven Sorrows", "Luo Shen Fu", "Seven Step Poems", "Tongque Terrace Fu" and "Noda Yellow Bird Walk"  ¡·

Cao Zhi's seven-step poem is widely circulated: Boil the beans to burn the beans, and the beans weep in the cauldron.  They are born from the same roots, so why rush each other?  (See "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms"). However, this poem does not appear in Chen Shou's "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms". It was first seen in "Shishuo Xinyu," written by Liu Yiqing in the Southern Dynasty.

"Shi Shuo Xin Yu" records that Wei Wen Emperor Cao Pi was jealous of Cao Zhi's talent and ordered Cao Zhi to write a poem within seven steps, otherwise he would be executed. He also had strict requirements for the poem: the theme of the poem must be brotherhood, but  The whole poem cannot contain the word "brother", so Cao Zhi recited it in less than seven steps: Boil the beans to make soup, and strain the bean sprouts to make juice.  The beetles are burning under the cauldron, and the beans are weeping in the cauldron.  Since they are born from the same root, why be too hasty when they are in conflict with each other?  However, whether this poem was written by Cao Zhi is still controversial to this day.

Xie Lingyun, a famous poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, said that all the talents in the world share one stone, Cao Zijian (Zhi) only has eight buckets, I have one bucket, and the world shares one bucket.  This is the highest praise for Cao Zhi.

Zhong Rong, the author of "Shi Pin", also praised Cao Zhi for his extraordinary high character, brilliant lyrics, elegance and resentment, and elegant body and texture. He was outstanding in both modern and ancient times.

Cao Zhi andWang Can and Liu Zhen were both called King Cao and Cao Liu.  Xiao Gang of the Southern Dynasty wrote "Books with the King of Eastern Hunan": Far away, there are Yang Ma and King Cao, while near, there are Pan Lu and Yan Xie.  Wang Shizhen said that the poets in the two thousand years since the Han and Wei dynasties could be called immortal talents, including Cao Zhi, Li Bai and Su Shi.

According to "Shu Duan" records, Cao Zhi also wrote Gong Shu.  "Xuanhe Shupu" also records that Cao Zhi was an intelligent young man with an amazing memory and could never forget a word. His upright spirit came from his leisurely writing and ink writing.  Cao Zhi's "Ode to the Harrier" written in Zhang cursive is one of the best calligraphy works.

    "Fu of Luo Shen"

In the third year of Huangchu, I went to the capital and returned to Luochuan.  The ancients said that the god of Si water was named Mi Fei.  Feeling about Song Yu's love for the goddess of the King of Chu, he wrote this poem.  His words said:

I came from the capital region and returned to Dongfan.  Carry on the back of Yique, cross the Fuyuan, pass through Tonggu and Lingjing Mountain.  The sun is tilting to the west, and the carriages and horses are in trouble.  Er is a tax driver in Henggao, a horse in Zhitian, a Rongyu in Yanglin, and a wanderer in Luochuan.

So he shifted and was shocked, and suddenly he thought.  Looking down, I didn't notice, but looking up, I saw a beautiful woman on the bank of a rock.  He then assisted the emperor and told him, "Do you have someone who can compete with him? Who is he? How beautiful is this!" The emperor said to him, "I heard that the god of Heluo is called Mi Fei. However, what the king said  See, what's the situation like? I would like to hear it."

I told him: "Its shape is as graceful as a startling giant, as graceful as a swimming dragon. The autumn chrysanthemums are shining brightly, and the spring pines are gorgeous. It seems like the moon is covered by light clouds, and it flutters like snow in the flowing wind."

Looking at it from a distance, it is as bright as the sun rising in the morning glow; looking at it from a distance, it is as bright as a flower rising from Lubo.  The slenderness is satisfied, and the length is shortened.  If the shoulders are cut into shape, the waist will be as plain as expected.  The neck is extended to show off the neck, and the beauty is revealed.  Fragrance is not added, and the lead is beautiful.  The cloud bun is in E'e, and the eyebrows are trimmed in Lianjuan.

The red lips are bright on the outside, the teeth are white on the inside, the eyes are bright and good at gazing, and the dimples support the power.  Gorgeous and graceful, the appearance is quiet and the body is leisurely.  Tender and charming, charming in words.  The costume is unique and unique, and the bone statue corresponds to the picture.  The dazzling beauty of the robe, the splendor of Eryao and blue.

The Yang Hao wrist is in the gods of God, Cai Guaner's Xuanzhi.  I am happy with its beauty, but my heart is shaking but not happy.  Unscrupulous matchmakers use microwaves to communicate with each other.  May Cheng Su arrive first and untie the jade pendant to get it.  The beauty cultivates her faith, and the Qiang learns etiquette and understands poetry.  Anti-Qiongyao comes with peace, pointing to the abyss for a certain period of time.
