In the past few days, the German 1st Fighter Wing and the Allied Air Force had been flying and confronting each other along the border. After a calm period without a fight, no one expected that on the night of July 28, 1918, the two sides would erupt in such a fierce fight in the night sky.  It was an air battle, and the results were so unexpected.

In the short 45 minutes from 18:00 to 18:45 on July 28, the two sides fought back and forth.

    1. In the first battle, the German 1st Fighter Wing, under the command of Wing Commander Hermann Wilhelm Goering, dispatched the 1st Squadron of the 26th Fighter Squadron of Lieutenant Bruno Luzer, led by Second Lieutenant Kent von Dorling.  The ace pilot and squadron mascot commander crossed the border into the territory of the Volga Federation to undertake the task of luring the enemy. As a result, the DH4 team of the 1st Fighter-Bomber Wing of the Allied Air Force, which was responsible for night flight patrol, encountered and a fierce battle broke out between the two sides.

The result of the first round was that the Allied Air Force suffered 0 losses. The Fokkerdviii of the German Kent von Dorling squad was shot down by Han Gang's squad. The result of the first battle was 1:0.

    2. Immediately after the second battle, the German Dolin Squadron, which was responsible for the task of luring the enemy, 3 fokkerdviiivs and the 4 SE5s of the Linfu Squadron of the Allied Air Force. The Dorlin Squadron, who underestimated the speed of the SE5 and the power of the large-caliber machine gun, were shot down by the Linfu Squadron.  1 aircraft, 1 aircraft damaged (afterwards, it made an emergency landing on the side of the Ukrainian border. The pilot Rooney was seriously injured and was rescued by the Germans the next day)

The result of the second round: Allied Forces 1.5:0 German Army

    3. Then came the third round. The 2nd German Squadron, which was responsible for responding to the Dorin Squadron on the south side of the Ukrainian border, under the personal command of Squadron Leader Bruno Luzer, faced off against the 2nd SE5 Squadron of the Allied Air Force, Zhao Jiadi.  The second lieutenant's first team, Zhao Jiadi's team, underestimated the enemy's ambush and was shot down by Luzer's team (No. 4). The pilot was Second Lieutenant Hu Fei, known as the Snowy Mountain Flying Fox of the Allied Air Force. He parachuted successfully, but mysteriously disappeared in Ukraine.  in the wilderness), damaging one aircraft (No. 3 aircraft, pilot Qi He, second lieutenant, the slightly injured No. 3 aircraft participated in the next battle).

The results of the third round were: the Allied Forces 0:1.5 the Germans. The total score of both sides was: 2.5:1.5. The Allied Air Force was still in the lead.

    4. Goering, the captain of the German 1st Fighter Wing, personally led the 4 FokkerDviiis of the Wing Headquarters team to take the back path of the 4 SE5s of the Allied Forces Lin Fu team, but Lin Fu team used a dive to accelerate the turn and hit their opponent.  , long-distance fire from the coalition's SE5 large-caliber machine gun shot down the No. 4 aircraft of Goering's team, while Goering injured the No. 4 aircraft of the coalition's Lin Fu team (the aircraft was slightly injured, and the pilot, Second Lieutenant Huang Silang, continued to participate in the next  fighting)

The result of the fourth round was that the Allied Forces defeated the German Army 1:0.5. The total score between the two sides was 3.5:2. The Allied Air Force still led.

    5. The German 4th Squadron, led by Second Lieutenant Kent Stuart, reinforced Goering's squad from above. The Stuart squad and Lin Fu's squad engaged in a second head-to-head attack, and the nose machine gun ran out of ammunition.  Lin Fu's team, but by mistake, used the manual machine gun at the wing root of SE5 to shoot down two FokkerDviii's of Student's team, No. 2 and No. 4 respectively, and Lin Fu's team's No. 4 was finally killed by the opponent.  Shot down (pilot Huang Silang successfully parachuted, fell into Ukraine, and was rescued 2 days later)

The result of the fifth round was that the Allied Forces defeated the German Army 2:1. The total score between the two sides was 5.5:3. The Allied Air Force still led.  (Second Lieutenant Huang Shiro never expected that his miserable No. 4 aircraft would actually be scored 1.5 points by the opponent. If he had known that it had been shot down in the last round, it would only have given the opponent 1 point.)

    6. Lieutenant Bruno Ruzer, the captain of the 26th Fighter Squadron, led the German 2nd and 3rd squadrons of 8 Fokkerdviiis to fight against the Zhao Jiadi squadron of the Allied Air Force and 12 SE5s from the coalition reinforcements. Six aircraft were shot down when they were outnumbered.  , and also shot down 4 of the opponent's aircraft and damaged 2 of them. In the end, Bruno Luzer and Second Lieutenant Silmo von Bulow Boschamp, the leader of the 3rd Squadron, escaped the pursuit of the coalition forces by flying at ultra-low altitude and successfully returned home.  .

The result of the 6th round was that the Allied Forces defeated the German Army 6:5. The total score between the two sides was 11.5:8. The Allied Air Force still led.  (Among the four SE5s shot down by the coalition forces, the pilots of two planes successfully parachuted and were successfully rescued two days later, while the pilots of the other two planes were missing.)

    7. Captain Goering of the German 1st Fighter Wing led the remaining five Fokkerdviiis to fight against eight Chinese FR18 fighter-bombers of the Allied Air Force. Due to the difference in aircraft performance and being outnumbered, three Fokkerdviiis were shot down, while Goering shot down  A coalition FR18 was injured. In the end, captain Hermann Wilhelm G?ring and captain Kent Student of the 4th Squadron also relied on ultra-low-altitude flight to get rid of the coalition's pursuit and successfully returned home.

The result of the 6th round was that the Allied Forces defeated the German Army 3:0. The total score of the two sides was 14.5:8.5. The Allied Air Force achieved an earth-shattering victory!

In this battle, the German ace flying wing: the 26th Fighter Squadron of the 1st Fighter Wing, lost 15 of the latest Fokkerdviii fighters and 14 ace pilots. The entire 26th Fighter Squadron dispatched 20 fighters, and only 5 returned home.  .

On the other hand, the coalition air force has dispatched 32 fighters, including 1 dh4 fighter-bomber squads, 5 SE5 fighter squads and 2 FR18 fighter-bomber squads shot down 14 aircraft, damaged 1 aircraft, and lost 7 fighters and 4 pilots. This was an encounter and a great victory!  After this battle, the Allied Air Force quickly became one of the world's advanced air forces!

The new and slightly immature Chinese Air Force has finally unveiled its mystery in front of the world. Relying on rapid and accurate ground command and dispatch, collective formation combat methods and the most powerful airborne firepower, plus a little luck, Hull  Mann. Wilhelm G?ring and his 26th Fighter Squadron became the stepping stone for the Allied Air Force to become famous in World War I.

The show is not over yet. This sudden air battle is just the prelude to the Ukrainian campaign. The German 1st Fighter Wing is known for its large formations and spiral formations. The aerial battle between the two sides in the first battle was just a battle between flying squadrons and squadrons.  , the coalition air force will obviously accept greater challenges!
